About the Firm

A market-leading direct lender and experienced private credit manager specializing in financing solutions for companies backed by private equity sponsors. Hybrid schedule of 3x per week in office.

About the Role

The Compensation Manager serves as a subject matter expert supporting the design, execution, and ongoing governance of the firm's compensation programs. The seat sits within a tight-knit Strategic Accounting \& Finance group and partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver market-competitive, equitable, and compliant compensation solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical rigor, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of annual and mid-year compensation cycles including project management, data integrity, reporting, and system administration
  • Provide compensation recommendations across client groups for new hires, promotions, and associated pay adjustments using market data and internal equity principles
  • Conduct in-depth benchmarking and job matching to ensure ongoing market competitiveness across roles and geographies
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment statutes; stay current on compensation-related legislation and trends
  • Perform pay equity analyses and support remediation efforts as organizational needs evolve
  • Partner closely with the Payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payment and tracking
  • Research and respond to compensation-related requests from employees, Finance, and HR
  • Conduct ad-hoc compensation and budget analyses

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or related field
  • 6\+ years of experience on a Compensation or Total Rewards team - financial services industry experience required
  • Experience with Beqom preferred
