JS Careers is pleased to be exclusively working with a prestigious European private equity fund for the recruitment of an Investment Analyst/Associate. The firm is a successful investor across all alternative asset classes, with their private equity business renowned as one of the most innovative private capital teams world. Due to momentum in the Australian market and fresh capital for the Asia-Pacific region, the firm is seeking a new Analyst/Associate investment professional to join their Sydney team.
This role will join a team responsible for identifying private equity investment opportunities across Australia and New Zealand. Targeting upper-mid and large-cap companies (EV \>$350m), the firm is unconstrained by sector and deal-type, enabling an entrepreneurial investment experience for the successful candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a European private equity firm that has undertaken some of the most interesting buyouts in the world.
To be considered for the Analyst/Associate position, professionals require \~1-4 years of total experience at either a major investment bank, private equity / investment fund or consulting firm.
Role Responsibilities:
- Investment origination and deal sourcing across priority sectors
- End-to-end transaction execution, including management of advisors and coordination of commercial, financial and operational due diligence
- Financial analysis, valuation and modelling to support both new investments and portfolio decisions
- Preparation of investment committee materials, including development of investment theses and recommendations
- Active involvement in portfolio company strategy, working alongside management teams on key value creation initiatives
- Development and execution of financial and operational strategies to drive performance across the portfolio
Candidates must also possess the following:
- 1-4 years of experience including IBD, PE or global consulting experience;
- Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (Commerce, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Studies, Engineering, and/or Law).
