As an Avionics Engineering Intern you will help shape the future of commercial supersonic and hypersonic flight. Our team is responsible for the design, testing, and integration of GNC systems, electrical hardware, control software, power distribution, and RF communications.
Fall: Around 16 weeks (August - December)
Responsibilities:
Conduct physical testing of subsystems and validate performance against requirementsDevelop and maintain detailed wire diagrams for subsystem integrationSet up and configure hardware in lab environments for testing and validationPerform end-to-end subsystem testing, ensuring full integration of electrical, hardware, and software componentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (software, electrical, and mechanical engineering) to troubleshoot and resolve integration issuesDocument test results, integration procedures, and system configurationsYou'll take charge of designing and testing custom electrical systems for both ground test and flight applications.You will ensure the seamless integration and compatibility of your designs at the sub-system and integrated system level.Minimum Requirements:
Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.Entry level experience of C++, C, or other embedded programming languages. Experience with working with hardware integrations and embedded computers (Raspberry PIs, arduinos, STM32s). Strong understanding of engineering first principlesDemonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teamsEnthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus' missionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGPA of 3.0 or above
