Senior People Business Partner

For our client, we are seeking a Senior People Business Partner to join the team of a leader in the Retail \& Consumer Goods space.

This role will partner closely with senior leadership to shape a multi-year people strategy that supports business and product priorities. You will help strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and talent systems across a complex, fast-moving environment. The position also calls for a highly analytical and collaborative advisor who can influence decisions, guide change, and support long-term workforce planning.

Location: San Mateo, CA

Compensation: $270,630 – $304,420 annually

Responsibilities

• Co-create a multi-year people strategy aligned with product goals
• Analyze and improve organizational design and talent systems
• Lead large-scale changes across multiple teams
• Develop a long-term leadership capability and succession plan
• Utilize data to provide actionable insights for leadership
• Leverage AI tools for enhanced analysis and program design
• Shape hiring programs and employer branding to attract top talent

Qualifications

• 10\+ years in HR, people strategy, or organizational effectiveness, particularly in engineering-centric technology organizations
• Proven experience in large-scale organizational design and change management
• Expertise in developing multi-year talent strategies and leadership development
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex people data
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and their application in HR processes
• Executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders
• Ability to handle confidential information and navigate ambiguity
