Company Description
At GuruNanda LLC, we are pioneers in harmonizing the wisdom of Eastern wellness with Western medical practices, creating a unique bridge that enriches health and well-being across the globe. Our foundation rests on several key pillars: ancient tradition, modern science, and everyday accessibility.
GuruNanda LLC is not just a brand; it’s a beacon for those seeking a more balanced, natural, and harmonious life. We invite you to join us on this transformative journey, as we navigate the rich landscapes of natural wellness together, one drop at a time.
Position Summary
GuruNanda is looking for a Director, Brand Marketing \& Innovation to help take our brand into its next chapter of growth. This is a rare opportunity to get truly hands-on with a brand at an inflection point, partnering directly with the CMO to bring brand strategy to life, shape our innovation pipeline, and help drive our growth trajectory as continue to see exponential growth. You’ll have direct influence over how the brand shows up in market, paired with the reality of a small, founder-led company: fewer layers, faster decisions, and the chance to see your work live in real time.
We’re looking for someone who understands what great, disciplined brand marketing looks like at scale, likely built at a larger CPG company, but who also brings (or is genuinely excited to build) the resourcefulness and adaptability a smaller, founder-led business demands. This isn’t the right fit for someone who only knows how to operate inside a large, structured organization, but it is for someone who wants to bring that caliber of thinking to a scrappier environment, and thrives doing both.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Development
•
Own the brand's guidelines and visual identity, and serve as the single point of accountability for consistency across every touchpoint, including packaging, retail, e-commerce, social, and PR.
•
Partner with the CMO to bring the brand architecture (positioning, pillar framework, and voice guidelines) to life as the single source of truth across teams and agencies.
•
Serve as a key voice in packaging design decisions, ensuring visual and structural consistency across the portfolio as new SKUs, formats, and retailers are added.
•
Translate portfolio strategy into working SKU and merchandising decisions, in partnership with Sales and R\&D.
•
Partner with R\&D and Regulatory to keep brand claims (e.g., efficacy, “clean \& natural”) substantiated and defensible before they reach packaging or paid media.
Creative \& Campaign Management
•
Brief, manage, and evaluate creative agencies and freelance partners; ensure every asset ladders back to brand pillars and tone.
•
Own execution of the marketing calendar, including retailer moments, launches, and always-on content, in partnership with Sales and the e-commerce/GTM team.
•
Ensure creative and messaging alignment across e-commerce and digital retail channels (Amazon, Shopify, Walmart.com, TikTok Shop, and others), partnering with channel teams on execution.
•
Coordinate with PR and organic social partners to keep messaging consistent across earned, owned, and paid channels.
•
Manage campaign budgets and timelines; report progress and results to leadership.
Research \& Innovation
•
Partner with executive leadership on a multi-year innovation roadmap, mapping product development capabilities against prioritized categories.
•
Translate consumer and category research into actionable creative and innovation briefs.
•
Lead early-stage innovation brainstorming and help prioritize what gets tested versus tabled.
•
Track category, competitor, and consumer trends on an ongoing basis and flag implications for brand and innovation direction.
How We’ll Measure Success
•
Brand consistency: guidelines and visual identity applied consistently across packaging, retail, digital, and PR.
•
Innovation: a long-term pipeline built, with projects executed against key retailer set dates.
•
Launch success: on-time, on-brand execution of new items and retailer moments.
•
Overall brand health: awareness, household penetration (HHP), loyalty rate, consumer sentiment, and engagement.
Required Qualifications
•
6–9 years of brand marketing experience, with a strong foundation built at a larger, established CPG company (Senior Brand Manager or equivalent level).
•
Real experience with, or a genuine, demonstrated excitement for, the pace, resourcefulness, and ambiguity of a smaller or founder-led brand. We’re looking for range, not just a legacy-company background: candidates should be ready to speak to how they’d adapt to (or already have thrived in) a small-company environment.
•
Personal care category experience strongly preferred (oral care, beauty, or wellness a plus).
•
Comfortable navigating the operational realities of a small company, including supply chain, production, or retail execution, not solely brand strategy from a corporate marketing seat.
•
Experience with brand architecture, portfolio strategy, or product line planning in a multi-brand or multi-category environment.
•
Experience owning brand guidelines or visual identity across multiple touchpoints (packaging, retail, digital) in a CPG environment.
•
Comfortable operating in a claims-sensitive category; experience partnering with R\&D or Regulatory a plus.
•
Track record managing creative agencies or freelance creative partners from brief to delivery.
•
Strong hands-on project management skills: able to run multiple workstreams (creative, calendar, innovation) directly and move fast without a large team behind you.
•
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
•
Direct experience at both a larger CPG company and a smaller or emerging brand: someone who has seen both worlds and knows how to bring the best of each.
•
Experience with retail and e-commerce channel dynamics (mass, drug, club, and online).
•
Familiarity with natural or wellness-adjacent product categories.
What We Offer
•
A rare chance to have real, direct influence over a brand at an inflection point, and to help build the playbook that takes it there.
•
Hands-on ownership across brand, creative, and innovation: not a narrow lane, and not layers between you and the work.
•
A dynamic, collaborative environment that rewards ownership and speed.
•
A competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
