Job Description
About the company
Our client is a Sequoia-backed AI company building an autonomous market-research platform for major global brands. Its product handles study design, participant recruitment, interviews, and analysis, helping customers turn business questions into actionable insights in hours instead of weeks. The company has raised nearly $100M, grew from zero to a $14M revenue run rate in under a year, and has assembled an 80-person team with experience from leading technology and quantitative organizations.
The role and why it matters
The company is expanding its outbound sales organization and hiring several Business Development Representatives across San Francisco and New York. You will help create enterprise pipeline by reaching senior marketing, insights, and research leaders. This is a high-visibility role with a clear path toward an emerging Account Executive position for top performers.
What you'll do
- Spend most of your time on high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calls, email, and LinkedIn.
- Build and own prospect lists for enterprise and strategic accounts.
- Research CMOs, marketing leaders, customer-insights teams, and UX research organizations.
- Develop creative strategies for breaking into hard-to-reach accounts.
- Attend conferences and help plan executive dinners and other relationship-building events.
- Partner with Account Executives, Growth, and Revenue leadership to improve messaging and the go-to-market motion.
What we're looking for
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a BDR or SDR role with meaningful outbound responsibility.
- Experience prospecting into mid-market or enterprise B2B accounts.
- A background at a B2B software startup or another early-stage, high-growth company.
- Confidence and energy on the phone, combined with strong written communication.
- Evidence that you can build your own lists and independently research accounts.
- Grit, collaboration, and a genuine desire to grow into a closing role.
- Existing authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Bonus points
- A track record of finding unconventional ways to reach prospects who ignored standard outreach.
- Experience supporting events, conferences, or executive relationship programs.
- Strong examples of competitive achievement in academics, athletics, or professional settings.
Location and work model
- Full-time, on-site role in either San Francisco or New York City.
- Five days per week in the office.
- Candidates must be based in one of these markets or willing to relocate independently.
- Visa sponsorship is not available.
Compensation and benefits
- $70,000 to $90,000 base salary.
- $120,000 to $140,000 on-target earnings.
- Competitive equity.
- Clear progression toward an Account Executive role for top performers.
