Position Overview

Tiberius Aerospace is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of procurement, supplier development, inventory control, logistics, property acquisition, configuration management, and supply chain compliance activities across government and commercial programs.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who can build disciplined, scalable supply chain capability within a rapidly growing aerospace and defense company. The Supply Chain Manager will ensure the timely, compliant, and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, tooling, capital assets, and services required to support engineering, testing, manufacturing, and program execution.

The ideal candidate brings experience in aerospace, defense, government contracting, manufacturing, or another highly regulated technical environment. You understand that supply chain is not simply a purchasing function. It is a critical driver of program execution, technical readiness, schedule confidence, cost control, and operational resilience.

You will serve as a primary interface between Engineering, Program Management, Contracts, Finance, Quality Assurance, Security, and external suppliers to ensure Tiberius has the materials, services, documentation, and supplier relationships required to deliver mission-critical programs.

What You’ll Do

Lead procurement, sourcing, supplier management, inventory control, logistics, property acquisition, and supply chain compliance across government and commercial programs.

Ensure purchasing and subcontracting activities comply with FAR, DFARS, customer contract requirements, and internal company policies.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, manufacturing partners, research institutions, and industry partners.

Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, delivery, technical capability, compliance, and supply continuity.

Establish and maintain supplier qualification, onboarding, performance-management, and corrective-action processes.

Manage competitive sourcing events, supplier negotiations, purchase-order administration, and procurement-file documentation.

Partner with Engineering to ensure technical data packages, drawings, specifications, statements of work, and configuration baselines are ready for supplier release.

Build inventory-control, asset-accountability, logistics, and material-management systems that support rapid program growth.

Identify supply-chain risks before they become schedule, cost, quality, or production constraints.

Support proposal development, supplier cost analysis, capacity planning, and long-range program execution.

Core Responsibilities

Procurement \& Government Contract Compliance

Manage procurement activities in compliance with FAR, DFARS, applicable government-contracting requirements, customer requirements, and internal policies.

Develop and administer competitive Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotation (RFQ), and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.

Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, terms, conditions, and commercial agreements.

Prepare and maintain procurement documentation supporting source-selection decisions.

Develop, document, and obtain approval for sole-source procurement justifications in accordance with company policy and government regulations.

Ensure purchasing activities are audit-ready and support customer, DCAA, DCMA, and internal reviews.

Maintain complete procurement files, approvals, and record-retention practices.

Supplier Development \& Relationship Management

Establish and maintain strategic business relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors, and industry partners.

Develop supplier-performance metrics covering quality, delivery, responsiveness, cost, capacity, and compliance.

Conduct periodic supplier evaluations and lead supplier corrective-action and continuous-improvement efforts.

Identify, assess, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to improve competition, capability, resilience, and technical capacity.

Develop supplier-risk mitigation plans and long-term sourcing strategies for critical materials, components, tooling, and services.

Monitor supplier performance throughout purchase-order and subcontract execution.

Supplier Qualification \& Onboarding

Develop and maintain Approved Supplier List (ASL) processes, procedures, and supporting records.

Establish supplier-onboarding requirements, including quality, financial, technical, cybersecurity, compliance, and capability assessments.

Coordinate supplier qualification activities with Engineering, Quality, Security, Contracts, and Program Management.

Maintain supplier certifications, compliance documentation, qualification status, and performance records.

Ensure suppliers align with applicable contractual, regulatory, quality, export, and information-security requirements.

SBIR/STTR Procurement Administration

Manage procurement activities supporting Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.

Coordinate subcontracting and procurement requirements with small-business partners, research institutions, universities, consultants, and technical collaborators.

Ensure procurement activity supports applicable government funding requirements, reporting obligations, intellectual-property considerations, and program controls.

Partner with Contracts and Program Management to maintain compliant subcontracting and purchasing documentation.

Property, Inventory \& Material Management

Manage the acquisition and lifecycle support of company property and capital assets, including test equipment, laboratory equipment, manufacturing fixtures, production tooling, and other program-critical assets.

Ensure procurement activity complies with customer property-management requirements and internal asset-management procedures.

Coordinate property records, tagging, accountability, audits, transfers, and lifecycle tracking.

Develop and implement inventory-control processes that maintain accurate material accountability and program readiness.

Monitor inventory levels, material availability, reorder points, lead times, inventory accuracy, and material shortages.

Lead physical inventories, cycle counts, reconciliation efforts, inventory audits, and corrective actions.

Minimize excess, obsolete, damaged, and slow-moving inventory while ensuring uninterrupted program support.

Maintain disciplined receiving, storage, traceability, and material-issue processes.

Logistics \& Transportation Management

Manage inbound and outbound domestic and international freight operations.

Coordinate transportation providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners.

Optimize transportation cost while maintaining delivery schedules, handling requirements, and customer commitments.

Ensure compliance with applicable import, export, shipping, hazardous-material, and customer-delivery requirements.

Monitor material flow from supplier through receipt, storage, internal movement, and final delivery.

Develop contingency plans for critical shipments, constrained materials, and schedule-sensitive program activity.

Strategic Supply Chain Planning

Perform strategic lead-time analysis, capacity planning, and supply-risk assessments to identify constraints before they affect program execution.

Develop sourcing strategies that mitigate schedule, quality, cost, obsolescence, and supply-continuity risk.

Analyze market conditions, supplier capacity, material availability, and industry trends affecting Tiberius programs.

Support proposal development through supplier engagement, cost analysis, schedule input, and sourcing strategy.

Build supply-chain reporting that gives leadership visibility into critical risks, supplier health, material readiness, inventory exposure, and procurement performance.

Engineering, Technical Data \& Configuration Management

Partner with Engineering to review and validate technical data packages, drawings, specifications, statements of work, and supplier documentation before release.

Ensure procurement documentation accurately reflects approved engineering requirements and configuration baselines.

Participate in design reviews, manufacturing-readiness assessments, build planning, and product-lifecycle activities.

Support configuration-management processes throughout the product lifecycle.

Coordinate engineering changes, revision control, and supplier implementation of updated configurations.

Maintain procurement records and supporting technical documentation in accordance with company and customer requirements.

Contractual \& Administrative Functions

Develop, negotiate, and administer supplier Non-Disclosure Agreements and confidentiality agreements.

Coordinate execution and maintenance of agreements with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, research partners, and strategic collaborators.

Monitor purchase-order status, supplier deliverables, invoice accuracy, and supplier performance through closeout.

Coordinate with Finance and Accounting on purchase-order closeout, financial reconciliation, receiving, and payment support.

Establish practical, compliant processes without adding unnecessary bureaucracy to a fast-moving organization.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.

7-10\+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing, materials management, or operations.

Experience supporting government contracts, aerospace and defense programs, or similarly regulated technical environments.

Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, government-procurement requirements, and compliant purchasing practices.

Experience managing competitive sourcing events, supplier negotiations, purchase-order administration, and procurement documentation.

Strong supplier-development, supplier-performance-management, and strategic-sourcing capability.

Experience with inventory-control systems, ERP/MRP platforms, material planning, and supply-chain analytics.

Experience working with technical documentation, configuration management, drawings, specifications, and engineering-change processes.

Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, organizational, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Ability to identify risk, create structure, and drive execution in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

High standards for documentation, compliance, accountability, cost discipline, and operational excellence.

Preferred

Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), APICS certification, or similar professional credential.

Program-management experience supporting complex technical, manufacturing, aerospace, or defense programs.

Experience supporting SBIR/STTR programs.

Experience with government property-management systems, customer-furnished property, and related compliance requirements.

Familiarity with DCAA, DCMA, ISO 9001, AS9100, NIST, and other compliance-driven operating environments.

Experience with international freight, import/export coordination, and logistics compliance.

Active or previously held U.S. Government security clearance.

Experience building supply-chain processes and systems within an early-stage or scaling company.
