Scope of Role

The DVA Engineer is responsible for design validation and assessment of Body engineering, Power train, and Chassis systems through structured CAD based evaluations. The DVA Engineer performs design assessments such as interface validation, packaging checks, clearances, fit \& finish, tolerance feasibility, and rule based checks to identify design risks early. The role supports design robustness and release readiness by providing validation feedback and recommendations to design and test teams.

Area of Responsibility:

The role involves performing structured CAD-based design evaluations on CATIA V5/V6 models at both component and vehicle level across Body Engineering, Powertrain, and Chassis systems to verify compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and design intent. The DVA Engineer conducts rule-based assessments including packaging, interfaces, clearances, fit \& finish, and tolerance feasibility to evaluate design robustness, identify potential risks, and ensure design maturity. This role plays a critical part in supporting virtual validation, cross-system integration, and design release readiness during product development by providing actionable insights to design,

CAE, and manufacturing teams.

•Ensuring that the all-project deliverables is met at given time with Dashboard document.

•To be able to assign and get the work done from team members effectively.

•Ensure Standard methodologies are followed to meet Regulatory, Safety \& Quality requirements.

•Identifying all risks of the programme and make appropriate capitalization documents (Lessons learned, Technical Reports) to feed/improve Design and Development standards and guidelines.

•Ensuring all relevant documentation as per ISO\& quality standards.

•DVA Engineer creates and maintains analysis models representing the assembly process, tolerances, and CAD data used for the virtual assembly of a vehicle.

•He/she will be responsible for creating reports, communicating results, issues, and recommendations to the customer.

•Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector

Knowledge / Experience:

•Minimum 6–12 years of experience as a DVA Analyst in automotive product engineering, with exposure at both component and vehicle level.

•Should have experience across Body Engineering, Powertrain, and Chassis systems.

•Should have good working knowledge of GD\&T (ASME preferred) \& Tolerance Stack up Analysis.

•Should have knowledge of 1D, 2D stack up \& 3D dimensional variation analysis

•Hands on experience on Catia V5/Teamcenter Vis Mockup and variation analysis software VisVSA.

•Basic understanding of Kinematics, CAD and Design for Manufacturing Knowledge of jigs \& fixtures used in Body Area preferred.

•Must have experience in Dimensional Variation analysis domain with VISVSA

•Experience in using CATIA V 5/V6, Team Centre Engineering (TCE)

•Working knowledge of GD\&T \& Tolerance Stack up Analysis

•Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector

•Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production \& manufacturing requirements.

•Excellent communication skills, with demonstrable ability to communicate with cross functional teams and influencing at all levels.

Skills:

•Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, adapting style to suit different audiences, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.

•PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.

•Demonstrates and fosters a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals.

•In-depth functional knowledge across component and vehicle level systems, including Body Engineering, Powertrain, and Chassis domains.

•Proficiency in use of various modules of 3D Experience and Team enter.

•Analytical, logical, and critical thinking ability.
