What you'll do:
Ensure the assembly documentation is accurate and completeObserve assembly, lay-up, and torque operationsConduct dimensional inspections on both parts and assembliesExamine raw materials, piece-parts, and final assembliesInterpret specifications, drawings, tolerances, and additional requirementsDocument inspection and test results through logs, graphs, reports, and local systemsExecute other tasks related to the position as directed by leadership Required qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 1-3 years of experience in a Quality Inspector role within aerospace manufacturing or a related industryPractical experience with various inspection techniques and equipment (DMM, calipers, micrometers, etc.)Capable of performing inspections using assembly instructions and engineering drawingsDemonstrated ability to use precision measurement tools and calibrated equipment effectivelyStrong technical and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, across various levels within the organizationDetail-oriented with a strong understanding of quality-centric practices and processes Preferred qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field is preferredCertification from a recognized quality institution like ASQ (American Society for Quality) is advantageousCertification in AS9100 or similar quality management standards in aerospace is a plusExposure to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologiesProficiency in reading, understanding, and interpreting technical documents, blueprints, and engineering drawings
