Role Overview
The SIOP Supply Chain Manager will lead, standardize, and evolve the monthly SIOP process. This strategic yet tactical leader aligns demand forecasting, capacity planning, and supply chain execution to drive revenue predictability, optimize working capital, and maximize customer satisfaction. [
Key Responsibilities
- SIOP Process Leadership:
Facilitate the monthly SIOP cycle (Demand, Supply, Finance, and Executive reviews). Establish cadence, generate presentation materials, track action items, and enforce process discipline.
- Demand \& Supply Alignment:
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to consolidate and validate demand forecasts. Create rough-cut capacity plans to ensure operations can safely meet demand while adjusting for potential supply chain constraints. [
- Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory control and establish warehouse strategies to ensure timely material availability. Monitor Days Sales of Inventory (DSI), Days On Hand (DOH), and proactively reduce Excess and Obsolete (E\&O) inventory.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as the central hub connecting commercial teams, procurement, production planning, finance, and logistics. Ensure financial plans reflect operational realities.
- Continuous Improvement:
Develop SIOP dashboards and metrics (KPIs) to measure forecast accuracy, schedule adherence, and supply chain performance. Identify and lead projects that fix process gaps and drive down supply chain costs.
- Execution (S\&OE):
Partner with plant/factory operations to develop weekly Sales and Operations Execution (S\&OE) standards that handle short-term schedule changes.
Qualifications \& Requirements
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees (MBA) or certifications (APICS/CPIM) are often preferred.
- Experience:
6\+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, inventory management, or demand/supply planning.
- SIOP Expertise:
Proven track record of facilitating cross-functional SIOP processes. Familiarity with Sales and Operations Execution (S\&OE) is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), advanced planning software (e.g., Kinaxis, Blue Yonder), and data visualization/dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Soft Skills:
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Must be a strong change agent capable of driving organizational alignment across a matrixed environment.
