Senior Investment Analyst

Great opportunity to join an active family office with a diversified investment strategy across private equity, real estate, and direct investments.

Compensation range: up to 125k base plus bonus

Principal Responsibilities

Analysis

Provide quantitative analysis on specific investment opportunities, including:

• Data analysis
• Financial modeling, and

Market research – consumer, industry, competitive

• Support the due diligence process for all investments.
• Present investment analysis to Cudlob’s investment committee for approval.
• Perform a variety of analysis on the portfolio and the individual assets on an ad-hoc, monthly and quarterly basis.
• Perform return analysis, benchmark analysis, investment analysis, cash flow analysis, financial statement analysis, etc.

Reporting

• Monitor investments by providing analytical reporting (e.g., tracking returns, cash flows, costs, etc.) that helps drive investment decisions.
• Extract data from various systems (internal general ledger and various online databases/sources – PitchBook, Prequin, Bloomberg), analyze the data to extract the “answer” and synthesize for easy understanding by management.

Interaction with third-party providers

• Work with brokers, sellers, legal counsel, accountants, advisors and lenders to generate deal flow, analyze investment opportunities and bring the investment process to a successful conclusion.

Miscellaneous

• Provide assistance on special projects throughout the year.

Skills Required

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other business-related field or equivalent work experience.
• Academic or work experience in data analytics, regression, what if, database query, and other data analyses.
• Very strong skills in Excel and database management.

Technical

• 2\+ years of experience as an investment analyst in either PE or a Real Estate firm
• Understanding of financial concepts such as IRR, NPV, cap rates, etc.
• Skills in PowerPoint and similar programs.
