As we expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and forward-thinking Data Scientist \& MLOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This remote position based in Portugal offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the evolution of financial technology and make a significant impact on our data-driven strategies.
Your Role:
We are seeking a Data Scientist \& MLOps Engineer
to own the ML lifecycle. You won't just be building models; you will be building the
machinery
that runs them. You will be responsible for planning and executing the migration of AI capabilities to a cloud-based infrastructure., implementing
MLOps best practices
, and expanding our AI models tailored for the financial intelligence products.
Your Responsibilities will Include:
- Cloud Migration:
Architect and execute the migration of existing local ML modelling pipelines to a cloud-based infrastructure
- MLOps \& Pipeline Engineering:
Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines for ML (training, testing, and deployment).
- Data Engineering:
Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure high-quality data flow into our production models.
- Full-Lifecycle Ownership:
Take ownership of the end-to-end ML lifecycle, from model packaging and deployment to monitoring for performance and data drift.
- Data Science:
Utilize machine learning algorithms, including predictive modelling, and concept drift detection.
- Infrastructure Management:
Use Infrastructure as Code to ensure our cloud environment is reproducible and scalable.
About you:
- Education:
Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, Ms.c. is desirable.
Core Technical Skills:
- AWS Cloud Infrastructure:
Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-native infrastructure and services on AWS services (e.g., SageMaker, EC2, Lambda, IAM, RDS/DynamoDB).
- MLOps \& DevOps:
Strong experience deploying, automating, and operating production data and machine learning workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Kubeflow, or similar.
- Infrastructure as Code:
Experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Software Engineering:
Advanced Python proficiency, experience with Git and collaborative development workflows, and a strong focus on writing clean, maintainable, production-ready code.
Valued Experience:
- Experience with NLP or LLM frameworks (e.g., HuggingFace, LangChain, or Vector Databases).
- Experience developing data or ML solutions for financial services or fintech.
- Communication:
Professional English proficiency (written and spoken) and the ability to document complex technical systems.
