Our challenge
We are seeking a talented and motivated UI React Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces for web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to user interactions.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.
In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Halifax, NV is C$90K PA to C$ 100K PA \& benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Perform functional and technical analysis of Compliance Strategic Initiatives, streamlining business workflows.
- Facilitate information gathering sessions for channel onboarding including leading discussions, managing group dynamics, and maintaining group focus, to work towards accomplishing the stated goal(s) of the session within the context of the project objectives - From these information sessions, gather the requirements and document them, along with business use cases, feasibility analysis and cross functional diagrams as needed.
- Partner with the upstream \& downstream teams and 3rd party solution provider to ensure technical capabilities and data requirements are well understood, identify dependencies and integration points.
- Work with senior stakeholders to validate their requirements and analysis via techniques such as reviews and walkthroughs and ensure system specifications meet the business stakeholders’ expectations/requirements, and negotiate solutions when appropriate.
- Engage and partner with Regulatory Compliance business and 3rd Party solution vendor to support the cloud migration use-case.
- Able to decipher compliance, information security guidelines and apply them in the context of the channels in scope for surveillance. Identify data quality \& accuracy requirements, solution options and remediation plans in case of a breach.
- Participate in reviews or inspections, in collaboration with the project team, to ensure the quality of the deliverables.
- Participate in the user acceptance testing, implementation planning, post implementation validations and L2 production incident analysis as needed while managing risks, assumptions, and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties.
- Continuously seek to improve team performance by promoting joint accountability for results and solving productivity issues. Facilitate and engage in analytical and technical conversations across platforms and multiple levels of influence.
- Partner with business to define Lexicon and scenarios that will proactively catch communication relating misconduct, market abuse, insider trading etc.
Requirements:
- Strong business domain understanding of Financial Services/ Capital Markets, excellent data analysis and solid background dealing with complex software products (preferably cloud/ data analytics focused).
- Ability to write complex SQL queries to extract out desired data from existing telemetry and Data Quality stores.
- Ability to work independently, apply critical and strategic thinking to issues, and manage deadlines while multi-tasking amongst different priorities.
- 5\+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing .responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects
- Proven experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and/or Agile.
- Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation.
Preferred, but not required:
- Data Analysis skills using python/tableau/regex is a nice to have.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA), or Project Management Institute –Professional in Business Analysis (PMI – PBA) Certification (Preferred).
- Agile Certification (CSM, CSPO) or similar.
- Experience of working with Capital Markets division of a multi-national bank or a Consulting firm focusing on similar clients.
- Experience of technology serving Surveillance, Regulatory \& Compliance needs for financial institutions or likewise.
