Job Description
This person will be an integral part of my clients accounting team and will work closely with Managers, Accounting Management, and other Accountants within the Company.
About The Position
- Assist with accounting for the divisions, which may include financial statement preparations and financial statement analysis, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and other analysis as needed
- Oversee inventory cost accounting at all stages of production from purchasing raw materials to shipments of finished product, including monthly and year-end inventory counts
- Manage fixed asset accounting and reconcile fixed asset accounts
- Monthly and year-end close for the division, including preparation of all audit and tax schedules
- Participate in the hiring, training, mentoring, and managing office staff
- Ensure that appropriate internal control measures are followed
- Provide financial analysis as needed for special projects
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
- Recognize when and how to be assertive when improvement opportunities arise
- Work as part of a team with company accounting staff and management
- Use appropriate discretion with confidential Company information
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Preference given for work experience or internships in accounting
- Experience with general ledger functions
