RESPONSIBILITIES

The company builds large, custom, mission-critical software for enterprise clients across Australia. The work is consequential — the systems they deliver run regulated operations, serve millions of users, and have to be right.

They're opening this role in their AI-first enterprise software engineering centre in Vietnam. The centre is built on a clear conviction: in mission-critical custom software delivery, AI changes what a senior practitioner can do, and the firms that integrate it well will outwork the firms that bolt it on. They’re hiring Business Analysts who already think this way.

You will be a senior Business Analyst on enterprise builds — the person clients rely on to understand their business, frame the right problem, and produce specifications a build team can trust. The depth and rigour expected of you is the same as any senior BA on mission-critical work.

What's different is how you operate. AI is in the loop across your practice as a matter of course — discovery, elicitation, analysis, modelling, specification, validation, delivery support, testing, and stewardship. You use it to read faster, see more, draft more, check more, and produce work that's deeper and more complete than a non-augmented BA could deliver at the same time. You also know precisely where AI adds risk rather than leverage, and where human judgement is non-negotiable.

This is not a role for someone curious about AI. It's a role for someone whose practice is already shaped by it.

• Lead discovery, elicitation, and analysis on enterprise engagements — interviewing stakeholders, mining documentation, decoding legacy systems, building current-state understanding.
• Produce models, specifications, user stories, business rules, and non-functional requirements at the standard mission-critical work demands.
• Maintain traceability from business need through to delivered system across long, complex builds.
• Partner with architects, designers, and engineers on solution design and feasibility.
• Orchestrate validation, sign-off, UAT, and acceptance with business stakeholders.
• Stay close to the build, hold the line on intent, manage change without drama.
• Contribute to the company's evolving AI-augmented BA practice — the methods, prompts, patterns, and tooling that make the centre what it is.

REQUIREMENTS

• Senior BA craft. Several years of demonstrable experience on enterprise custom software builds — not SaaS configuration, not internal reporting, not light-touch product work. You've held requirements integrity on systems that matter, and you can show how.
• AI-integrated practice. AI is part of your working method across the BA lifecycle. You can describe what you delegate, what you share, and what you keep — and why. You have a working stack you've shaped deliberately, not whatever you've encountered by accident.
• Discriminating judgement. You know when an AI output is right, when it's plausibly wrong, and when it's confidently wrong. You don't ship AI drafts without thinking. You also don't waste hours on work AI could do in a minute.
• Communication. Calm, precise, non-alarmist. You can hold a room of senior stakeholders, write specs developers want to work from, and translate between executives and engineers without losing fidelity in either direction. Working language is English.
• Disposition. You're an iterationalist — comfortable refining drafts until wording and structure match intent. You're at ease with ambiguity, but you reduce it methodically rather than tolerate it.
• Honest about levels. If you'd call your AI practice “I use ChatGPT sometimes”, this isn't your role. They're hiring at the level where AI is woven through how you work.
