Hiring Note:

We are seeking two Broadcast Engineers who can develop expertise across both RF and Specialty Camera systems. While candidates may initially have stronger experience in one discipline, the expectation is that both engineers will provide cross-functional support and coverage as workload and production demands require. This flexibility is critical to the success of the team.

Position Summary

The Broadcast Engineer is responsible for the preparation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, deployment support, and maintenance of RF transmission and specialty camera systems used in live television broadcasts, sports productions, and remote production environments.

This position is designed for versatile engineering professionals capable of supporting both RF and specialty camera technologies. Engineers are expected to work across disciplines and provide coverage for either function during peak operational periods, ensuring maximum flexibility and support for customers and production requirements.

The role is primarily warehouse-based, focusing on equipment readiness, quality control, system testing, and technical support. Limited travel may be required to support customer events, system deployment, testing, training, or production activities.

Key Responsibilities

Broadcast Systems Support

• Configure, assemble, test, troubleshoot, and maintain RF and specialty camera systems prior to deployment.
• Support wireless camera systems, RF transmission equipment, specialty cameras, fiber systems, and related broadcast technologies.
• Work interchangeably across RF and specialty camera disciplines based on operational requirements.
• Support equipment staging, packaging, quality control, and deployment readiness.
• Verify equipment functionality and performance through comprehensive testing procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, RF, video, audio, and network-related issues.

Technical Operations

• Understand and troubleshoot video and audio signal flow throughout broadcast workflows.
• Support A/V transport across IP-based and traditional broadcast infrastructures.
• Assist with system integration, upgrades, repairs, and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Interpret engineering drawings, signal-flow documentation, equipment specifications, and technical manuals.
• Maintain configuration records, test reports, maintenance documentation, and inventory records.
• Monitor equipment condition and identify opportunities for performance improvements and preventative maintenance.

Warehouse \& Deployment Support

• Work primarily from the Spring Hill warehouse facility supporting equipment preparation and readiness.
• Assist with inventory organization, equipment tracking, logistics coordination, and asset management.
• Support shipping, receiving, equipment inspection, and post-event evaluations.
• Ensure equipment is fully operational and ready for deployment to productions and customer locations.

Work Schedule \& Travel

• This position is primarily based in a warehouse and technical operations environment in Spring Hill, TN.
• Standard work hours are generally Monday through Friday; however, flexibility is required to support the demands of live television productions and client events.
• Occasional evening hours, weekends, and holidays may be required based on production schedules, equipment deployments, and business needs.
• Limited travel may be required to support live events, generally 10% or less.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 2 years of experience in broadcast production, live events, television operations, engineering support, A/V technology, telecommunications, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of video signal flow and broadcast workflows.
• Experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting technical equipment.
• Working knowledge of IP networking and network-based media transport.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics Technology, Computer Networking, or a related technical discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.
• Experience supporting RF transmission systems, wireless communications, microwave systems, wireless cameras, or frequency-based technologies.
• Hands-on experience with specialty camera systems and associated transmission equipment.
• Prior experience supporting live sports, television, remote productions, or broadcast operations.
• Familiarity with fiber optic transmission systems.
• Experience using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, network diagnostic tools, and other test equipment.
• Understanding of frequency coordination and RF system management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work around technical equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to safely handle sensitive electronic and broadcast equipment.
