As we grow, our team grows with us — there is real, significant opportunity to advance within the company for someone who delivers results.About the RoleWe're hiring a Head of Sales to build, lead, and scale our sales team. We invest heavily in marketing and generate strong, consistent lead flow — your job is to make sure every lead is handled by a sharp, well-trained, accountable rep, and that it turns into a profitable signed job.You'll run the entire sales engine: recruiting and hiring reps, training and developing them, managing day-to-day performance, reviewing estimates for margin, owning the customer experience, and continuously tightening our sales process.   • Source, interview, and hire sales reps who can perform in a high-activity roofing sales environment

Train \& Develop

  • Onboard new reps and ramp them to productivity fast with a structured program
  • Coach the team on sales technique, product knowledge, objection handling, and our process
  • Ride along on appointments, review performance, and develop each rep individually

Manage the Team

  • Lead the team day to day — set targets, track activity and KPIs, and hold reps accountable
  • Run pipeline reviews and follow-up cadences so no lead falls through the cracks
  • Build a culture of competition, accountability, and high performance

Drive Self-Generated Leads

  • Coach and hold reps accountable for generating their own leads — canvassing, referrals, and networking — on top of company-provided leads
  • Build and enforce self-gen activity standards so the team isn't dependent on marketing alone
  • Lead by example and equip reps with the tools and scripts to self-generate consistently

Review Estimates

  • Review estimates for accuracy, completeness, and healthy margin before they go out
  • Catch pricing errors and scope gaps early to protect profitability on every job
  • Approve and quality-check proposals as needed

Own Customer Satisfaction

  • Own the customer experience through the sales cycle and handle escalations
  • Make sure what's sold is what gets delivered — align sales, production, and the customer
  • Use customer feedback to sharpen how reps present and close

Improve the Process

  • Own, document, and continuously improve the end-to-end sales process
  • Manage the CRM and maintain clean, consistent pipeline data
  • Report sales performance, close rates, and forecasts to ownership
  • Partner with marketing to give feedback on lead quality and tighten the hand-off

What You Need

  • 3\+ years leading a sales team (roofing, exteriors, solar, or home services strongly preferred)
  • A personal track record of selling and closing — you've carried a number and beaten it
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and retain high-performing reps
  • Experience building self-generated lead activity (canvassing, referrals, networking) into a team's routine
  • Strong CRM and pipeline discipline — you run on numbers, not gut feel
  • A sharp eye for estimate accuracy and margin
  • Leadership presence — reps respect you and want to win for you
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Self-driven, organized, and fully accountable for results

  • Knowledge of the Southern California roofing market
