The Opportunity:
As a Human Resources Specialist (Personnel \& Pay) supporting Army Transformation and Training Command (T2COM), you will provide critical operational and administrative support to the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion (HHBN) S1\. In this role, you will execute military personnel management and pay-related functions that directly support Soldier readiness, accountability, and service delivery.
You will operate within Army personnel and financial systems to ensure the accurate and timely processing of personnel actions, entitlements, and records. This position supports the full lifecycle of Soldier personnel management, including in-processing, out-processing, pay and entitlements management, and personnel record maintenance.
This role operates in a high-tempo, mission-focused environment and directly supports Soldiers, leadership, and command priorities across T2COM headquarters operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-processing and out-processing for assigned and attached Soldiers, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with Army standards
- Maintain personnel accountability and update records within Army systems, including IPPS-A and IPERMS
- Initiate, process, and track personnel and pay actions within IPPS-A; support S1 transaction processing and troubleshoot workflow issues
- Monitor and manage workflow queues to ensure timely and accurate completion of personnel actions
- Prepare and process smart vouchers and travel-related documentation in accordance with Army finance policies
- Reconcile the Unit Commander's Finance Report (UCFR) monthly, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions with supporting agencies
- Process and manage BAH and other pay entitlements, ensuring timely updates based on Soldier status changes
- Provide guidance to Soldiers on pay, entitlements, and required documentation
- Create, update, and maintain official military personnel records in IPPS-A and IPERMS, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for personnel documentation
- Assist Soldiers with Personally Procured Move (PPM) documentation, timelines, and coordination with transportation and finance offices
- Process Unit Transmittal Letters (UTLs) for AGR and ADOS personnel and maintain visibility on duty status changes and personnel actions
- Support administrative planning, record reviews, and data accuracy efforts to ensure compliance with Army HR and financial policies
Requirements
Required:
- Active SECRET clearance
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Five (5) or more years of experience in military personnel administration, HR support, or S1 operations
- Experience processing personnel and pay actions using Army systems such as IPPS-A, IPERMS, or legacy systems
- Knowledge of Army regulations related to personnel management, finance, and entitlements
- Experience managing personnel records and administrative documentation
- Familiarity with military pay processes, including BAH and travel entitlements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple administrative requirements simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to communicate effectively with Soldiers, leadership, and supporting agencies
Desired:
- Experience supporting Battalion or Brigade-level S1 operations
- Familiarity with UCFR reconciliation and Army finance coordination processes
- Experience supporting AGR and ADOS personnel actions and tracking
- Experience working in a headquarters-level or high-visibility operational environment
