Senior Content Designer

Help shape the future of weight management services in Wales.

We're looking for a Senior Content Designer to join a national transformation programme supporting the delivery of Healthy Weight: Healthy Wales and MyPath Cymru. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside user researchers, service designers, interaction designers, clinicians, digital specialists and programme colleagues to create clear, accessible and evidence-based content that helps people understand and engage with weight management services.

This is an opportunity to improve how people access, navigate and use support across digital, community and clinical settings. You'll use research, insight and content design practice to ensure information is easy to find, understand and act on, supporting both user needs and service outcomes.

This post is a fixed term/ secondment for 12 months with a possibility to extend to 18 months. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

Design, create and improve content across end-to-end service journeys, ensuring it is clear, accessible and focused on user needs.

Work closely with user researchers and other designers to understand people's needs, behaviours and challenges, applying these insights to content decisions.

Use tools such as Figma to develop and test content within prototypes, journeys and service concepts

Develop content patterns, structures and guidance that support consistent and effective user experiences.

Champion accessibility and inclusive design, ensuring content works for a wide range of people, circumstances and levels of health literacy.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to balance user needs, service requirements and organisational priorities.

Use evidence, insight and stakeholder engagement to influence decisions and improve service experiences.

Support and mentor colleagues while contributing to a culture of learning, collaboration and continuous improvement.
