Job Description

Position Title: Systems Engineering Lead

Location: Healdsburg, California

Our client is a premier employee-owned technology firm specializing in sophisticated security solutions for national defense. They are currently seeking a highly technical Systems Engineer to join their Healdsburg team to focus on the development and testing of advanced electro-optical and mechanical stabilized systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of system development. This includes breaking down complex requirements into specific hardware and software functions, performing trade studies, and conducting system performance analysis. You will serve as a bridge between development and production teams, ensuring that integration and testing activities successfully meet all project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee system integration and performance verification activities.

Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and documentation for precision hardware.

Lead troubleshooting efforts for system level failures alongside diverse engineering teams.

Coordinate system performance modeling and architectural design.

Develop Concepts of Operations and present technical materials during design reviews.

Maintain detailed system configurations and troubleshooting guides.

Support offsite testing events as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Bachelor degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required.

Minimum of 9 years experience with a Bachelor degree, 7 years with a Master degree, or 4 years with a PhD.

Extensive hands-on experience with precision assembly and hardware testing.

Strong background in requirements derivation and traceability.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a focus on national security.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with Jama for requirements and test management.

Proficiency in scripting for data analysis and test automation.

Experience with Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.

Knowledge of industry standards such as MIL-STD, ISO, or ASME.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is 120,000 to 165,000 per year, depending on experience and education.
