Role Description
The Senior Research Chemist role at PUcore USA Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Covington, GA. This role involves planning and conducting laboratory experiments related to polyurethane materials, including formulation development, performance testing, and process optimization. The Senior Research Chemist will design and execute research and development (R\&D) projects, analyze data, interpret results, and document findings in technical reports and presentations. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams such as production, quality, and technical service to support product scale-up and continuous improvement. The role also includes implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, ensuring laboratory safety and compliance, and staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies in sustainable and eco-friendly materials.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills and experience working in a chemical laboratory environment, including safe handling of chemicals and use of analytical instruments.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control expertise, including establishing test methods, monitoring product consistency, and supporting compliance with internal and external standards.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills, including data interpretation, problem-solving, and the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from experimental results.
- Candidates should possess solid Research and Development (R\&D) and Research experience, including designing experiments, developing new formulations, and improving existing products.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is highly preferred.
- Experience with polyurethane chemistry, polymers, or related materials is strongly beneficial.
- Proficiency in using laboratory software, data analysis tools, and standard office applications.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
