Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a sharp, commercially-minded Product Manager to own product initiatives across our Commerce and Industrial verticals. This role sits at the intersection of circular economy retail operations, B2B e-commerce, field service management, and enterprise distribution software — a technically rich, operationally complex domain with real-world stakes for every product decision.

You will be the primary PM across two verticals that span diverse business models: from second-hand retail POS systems to industrial CRM, pricing optimisation engines, and field service dispatch platforms. The right candidate brings cross-domain experience, Gen AI fluency embedded into their daily PM practice, and the ability to earn trust from operators, distributors, and field technicians as quickly as from engineering teams.

We are open to relaxing years-of-experience requirements for dynamic, high-calibre candidates from strong MBA programs who have worked across more than one domain and can demonstrate both strategic thinking and hands-on executional depth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Commerce Vertical

  • Own the product roadmap for Point-of-Sale and inventory management platforms serving the circular economy and resale market (Secure Retail POS, Upright).
  • Drive feature development for mobile data collection and retail automation solutions (Solutions - Ideas That Work).
  • Engage directly with resale lab operators and retail technology directors to surface unmet workflow needs.
  • Define and track product KPIs across transaction volume, inventory accuracy, and operator efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to embed AI into inventory valuation, pricing suggestions, and buyer demand forecasting.

Industrial Vertical

  • Lead product strategy for B2B e-commerce platforms serving distributors and manufacturers (Channel Software, Aldrich Web Solutions).
  • Own roadmap for CRM and sales analytics tools purpose-built for industrial distribution (WebPresented, Rubber Tree Systems).
  • Drive field service management product development — technician dispatch, job lifecycle, and mobile workflow (FieldConnect).
  • Partner with engineering on logistics, fleet management, and dispatch software (DQ Technologies) and pricing optimisation (epaCUBE).
  • Manage product direction for HVAC and mechanical workflow software (BuildCentrix), ensuring alignment with field operations realities.

Cross-Vertical Ownership

  • Maintain a unified product vision across Commerce and Industrial that leverages shared platform capabilities where appropriate.
  • Facilitate quarterly roadmap reviews with business owners, sales leaders, and customer success across both verticals.
  • Identify integration opportunities between Commerce and Industrial products — e.g., shared inventory or pricing data models.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with enterprise clients — distributors, field service organisations, and retail operators — to validate product direction.
  • Partner with the Functional Architect to ensure new features align with the horizontal data and domain model.
  • Represent Commerce and Industrial product priorities in cross-functional planning with engineering and design.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have Requirements

  • Experience working across 2\+ product domains — ideally including at least one with operational complexity (logistics, field service, retail, distribution, or manufacturing).
  • Demonstrated Gen AI fluency in PM workflows: AI-assisted discovery, PRD drafting, competitive research, data synthesis, or roadmap prioritisation. Specific tools and use cases will be discussed.
  • MBA from a reputed institution or equivalent demonstrated product leadership — with evidence of both strategy work and executional delivery.
  • Ability to build credibility quickly with operational users (field technicians, warehouse operators, distributors) — not just SaaS product buyers.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity across multiple products and business models simultaneously.

Good to Have

  • Prior exposure to B2B e-commerce, ERP, field service, or distribution software.
  • Understanding of circular economy or resale market dynamics — how inventory valuation and POS differ from traditional retail.
  • Familiarity with mobile-first product design for field and warehouse contexts.
  • Experience with pricing optimisation or revenue intelligence products.
  • Understanding of API integrations between ERP, CRM, and e-commerce platforms.

Tools \& Platforms

  • Roadmapping: Jira, Productboard, Linear
  • Design collaboration: Figma, Miro
  • Gen AI: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Cursor
  • Data \& analytics: Mixpanel, Amplitude, SQL (basic), Looker
  • Documentation: Confluence, Notion

WHAT WE OFFER

Why This Role Is Rare

  • Ownership of two operationally rich verticals from Day 1 — your decisions affect real businesses, real field workers, and real supply chains.
  • Exposure to some of the most complex B2B product problems: multi-sided distribution networks, field service logistics, and circular economy commerce.
  • AI-first product development culture — you will be expected to bring Gen AI thinking into every stage of the product lifecycle.
  • Competitive compensation with a performance-linked growth trajectory tied to vertical revenue and product adoption.
  • Direct access to enterprise clients across North America — close to the customer from Day 1\.

ABOUT OUR SECTORS

Commerce Sector

Focused on the circular economy and specialised retail operations — particularly the second-hand and resale market. Core products include Point-of-Sale systems and inventory management for unique retail needs (Secure Retail POS, Upright — resale labs), and mobile data collection and automation solutions for retail and distribution environments (Solutions - Ideas That Work).

Industrial Sector

The most extensive vertical in the portfolio — serving distributors, manufacturers, and field service providers. Key areas: B2B e-commerce (Channel Software, Aldrich Web Solutions), CRM and sales analytics for industrial distribution (WebPresented, Rubber Tree Systems), field service management (FieldConnect), logistics and fleet dispatch (DQ Technologies), pricing optimisation (epaCUBE), and HVAC/mechanical workflow software (BuildCentrix).

DOMAIN CHALLENGES YOU WILL NAVIGATE

What Makes This Hard — and Interesting

  • Multi-sided complexity: Industrial products serve distributors, manufacturers, and field technicians simultaneously — each with conflicting workflow needs.
  • Operational context gap: Resale and field service users work in physical environments with high time pressure — product decisions must translate to the shop floor and the service van, not just a browser.
  • Pricing and inventory intelligence: Both verticals have a significant opportunity for AI-powered pricing, demand forecasting, and inventory optimisation — but data models are inconsistent across products.
  • Legacy system reality: Many clients run ERP systems that are 10-20 years old. Product strategy must account for integration constraints that are not negotiable.
  • B2B buying complexity: Deals involve multiple stakeholders (operations, IT, finance) with long sales cycles — product decisions directly affect win rates and expansion revenue.

AI OPPORTUNITY IN THESE VERTICALS

Both the Commerce and Industrial sectors represent significant untapped AI opportunity. As PM-B, you will be expected to identify, prioritise, and drive AI integration within your product portfolio — not as a feature label, but as embedded product intelligence.

Commerce AI Opportunities

  • Dynamic inventory valuation using condition, demand, and market data for resale pricing.
  • AI-assisted product categorisation at point of intake for resale labs.
  • Demand forecasting for circular economy inventory — predicting sell-through rates by category.
  • Intelligent receipt and document parsing for mobile data collection automation.

Industrial AI Opportunities

  • Intelligent job scheduling and technician dispatch using location, skill, and load data (FieldConnect).
  • AI-powered pricing recommendations for distributor sales teams (epaCUBE).
  • Sales signal detection and next-best-action recommendations for industrial CRM (WebPresented).
  • Predictive maintenance flagging within HVAC and mechanical workflow software (BuildCentrix).
