Overview
We are partnering with one of the Midwest’s most established and respected
water and wastewater general contractors
to appoint
Project Managers and Senior Project Managers
across multiple offices.
This is a strategic growth hire within an organization that has built a reputation for delivering
complex, large-scale treatment facilities and critical infrastructure projects
. The business is well-capitalized, backlog-secure, and actively investing in its next generation of leadership.
This opportunity is best suited to individuals currently delivering
municipal or industrial water/wastewater projects
who want access to
larger projects, better structure, and a clearer long-term progression path
.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of the full lifecycle delivery of heavy civil and process-driven infrastructure projects, including:
- Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP)
- Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
- Pump Stations \& Lift Stations
- Pipeline and conveyance systems
- Associated civil, mechanical, and process installations
Project sizes typically range from
$10M through to $200M
, with increasing responsibility and autonomy aligned to your experience level.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership \& Delivery
- Lead projects from preconstruction through to commissioning and closeout
- Develop and manage project execution strategies, budgets, and schedules
- Ensure adherence to contract requirements, specifications, and regulatory standards
- Drive productivity, quality, and safety performance across all phases
Financial \& Commercial Management
- Own P\&L performance across assigned projects
- Manage procurement strategies, subcontractor negotiations, and cost control
- Track and forecast project financials, including change orders and risk mitigation
- Maximise project margin while maintaining delivery excellence
Client \& Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, and key stakeholders
- Build strong, long-term client relationships within the municipal water sector
- Lead project meetings, reporting, and communication across all levels
Team Leadership \& Development
- Lead cross-functional project teams including Project Engineers, Superintendents, and subcontractors
- Mentor and develop junior staff, contributing to long-term team capability
- Foster a high-performance, accountable project culture

Compensation \& Benefits
Base Salary
- Project Manager:
$130,000 – $160,000
- Senior Project Manager:
$160,000 – $185,000
Bonus
- Performance-based bonus:
$50,000 – $100,000\+

For Senior PM level:
- Experience leading large, complex projects ($75M–$200M\+)
