Director of Product Engineering

We are searching for a full time direct hire Director Engineering Product Development and Quality Control in Ebensburg, PA to oversee the Engineering, Product Development and Quality Control departments

Pay is very good, but based on experience, knowledge, and required education and certifications

You will be responsible for

1\. Meeting with the Chief Operating Officer and/or the President on a regular basis to discuss accomplishment of present and future business objectives regarding engineering, product development and quality control.

2\. Developing and implementing a strategic management plan related to product development, engineering initiatives and quality control in collaboration with associated departments.

3\. Providing leadership and guidance to staff regarding engineering functions and operations including research and development, quality assurance, testing, and production of new and existing product lines.

4\. Managing the engineering, product development and quality control budgets and associated projects to ensure cost effectiveness.

5\. Working directly with the Quality Control Manager to ensure that the required standards are being met and operating procedures are being followed.

6\. Remaining current with new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices and utilizing related knowledge to continuous improvement of product lines.

7\. Collaborating with leadership to determine and achieve priorities according to business objectives.

8\. Supervising the creation and review of engineering and quality policies and procedures for continuous improvement.

9\. Continually researching and analyzing associated data and reports to ensure compliance with functional and performance specifications.

10\. Ensuring that support to sales and marketing departments regarding product presentations and customer support is being provided in a timely and professional manner.

11\. Utilizing engineering and designing software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.

12\. Attending trade shows and training conferences, as required.

13\. Attending social recreation events to provide supervision and assistance for handicapped individuals, as required.

You will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and minimum of two years related experience in product research and development. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.

• Professional communication skills.

• Excellent project management and problem-solving

skills.

Professional Engineer certification required.

Must

initiate certification process in International Organization of Standards (ISO) within two years of employment.
