Job Description
Plant Operations Manager
We’re seeking a Plant Operations leader to drive the next phase of operational growth and structure within a fast-paced, evolving business.
This role is ideal for a high-potential operations leader early in their plant leadership career; someone who has begun building operational discipline (KPIs, cadence, process visibility) and is ready to expand their impact in a hands-on environment.
Reporting to the SVP Operations, the Plant Operations Manager will lead day-to-day plant operations across production, assembly, and warehouse while building the operational structure, performance visibility, and execution discipline required to support the company’s next phase of growth.
Why This Role
This is the chance to join our business at a critical transition point, where structure, clarity, and execution discipline will define the next stage of growth.
You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in shaping the operation, while building the capabilities you need for the next level of your leadership career.
What You’ll Do
- Learn the Operation: Build a deep understanding of production, assembly, and warehouse processes; map workflows and identify opportunities to improve flow and consistency
- Build Structure \& Visibility: Implement and manage KPI tracking across production, labour, and throughput; establish a regular operating rhythm (daily/weekly performance reviews)
- Drive Execution Discipline: Reinforce accountability through structured follow-up; ensure performance data is used to drive decisions - not just reporting
- Lead Plant Operations: Provide day-to-day leadership across production, assembly, and warehouse teams; coordinate operational priorities and ensure safe, efficient, and consistent execution.
- Lead Operational Evolution: Lead the transition toward more process-driven, systems-led execution through standardization, accountability, and improved cross-functional coordination. Help establish operational priorities, execution discipline, and consistent plant performance.
- Lead Continuous Improvement: Motivate and engage the team in applying Lean principles to improve operational flow, reduce waste, and strengthen execution consistency
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or distribution operations
- Demonstrated success leading teams in a plant or operations environment
- Proven ability to implement KPIs and performance tracking systems
- Experience operating in fast-paced, evolving, or entrepreneurial environments
- Participation in change management and continuous improvement initiatives
Preferred Assets:
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Formal Lean certification (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Proven abilities in introducing operating cadence and performance routines
- Hands-on experience with assembly and/or warehouse operations preferred
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
- Clear KPI visibility across key areas of the operation
- Consistent operating rhythm established
- Core processes mapped, understood and utilized in daily operations
- Measurable improvements in flow, efficiency, and execution
- Strategic directives fulfilled via on-the-floor execution
Salary: $100k - $120k
