Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented Colorist/Textile Designer with a strong eye for color, pattern, and production execution. This role will help translate seasonal design direction into artwork, color standards, and vendor-ready textile developments. They will support seasonal textile concepts across color, yarn dye, print, and artwork development. This position partners closely with Design, Raw Materials, Product Development, Merchandising, Production, and vendors to deliver cohesive, brand-right collections from concept through production. The role reports to the Senior Director of Raw Materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop seasonal color palettes, color stories, and trend research that support the collection vision across categories.
  • Create and maintain CAD artwork for prints, yarn dyes, plaids, stripes, checks, recolors, repeats, layouts, and presentation materials.
  • Prepare production-ready artwork and mill/vendor files, ensuring accuracy of scale, repeat, color, and construction details.
  • Review and comment on lab dips, strike-offs, yarn dye developments, and fabric color approvals from development through production.
  • Maintain color standards, seasonal archives, artwork libraries, PLM records, tracking tools, and approval calendars.
  • Partner with internal teams and domestic and overseas vendors to communicate artwork, color, print, and yarn dye direction.
  • Support design reviews, milestone meetings, mood boards, special projects, and seasonal presentations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5\+ years of colorist, textile design, print, CAD, or related fashion experience.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop; strong CAD, artwork, repeat, recolor, and file-management skills.
  • Exceptional eye for color, scale, detail, and brand-right textile execution.
  • Strong understanding of materials, lab dips, strike-offs, yarn dyes, and production approval processes.
  • Creative, organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary range for this role is between $80,000 and $90,000\. The relevant base salary will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications. The base salary is just one component of our total compensation offerings, which consist of a comprehensive benefits package as well as a short-term incentive program, clothing allowance, and merchandise discounts.
