Assistant Project Manager – Construction (Confidential Client)

Locations: Berwick, PA or Tracy, CA (Onsite Role)

We are currently partnering with a leading construction and development organisation operating at scale across residential and commercial sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of complex, large-scale construction projects.

Role Overview

The Assistant Project Manager will support project delivery from preconstruction through to completion, working closely with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders. This is a hands-on role requiring strong coordination, communication, and organisational skills in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of construction projects from planning through completion
• Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities
• Assist with procurement and contract administration
• Maintain project documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements
• Support client and stakeholder communication throughout project lifecycle
• Work closely with site teams to ensure safe, efficient project delivery
• Help identify and resolve project issues as they arise

Candidate Profile

• 2–6 years’ experience in construction (GC, CM, or developer-builder environment preferred)
• Background as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar
• Experience across commercial, multifamily, residential, hospitality, or mixed-use projects
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and project delivery
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working onsite
• Modular/offsite construction experience is beneficial but not essential
