Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10-15 years of cybersecurity experience with one or more of the following: background as a practitioner and/or as a CISO, industry-facing consultant, or business development lead
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Security or related field experience
  • Required certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC (at least one or comparable skills and experience)
  • Demonstratable experience as a project or task lead and working with professionals across organizations
  • Have broad subject-matter experience and able to field discussions across the spectrum of cybersecurity whether technical or strategic
  • Demonstrated success executing across multiple initiatives, exceptional time management skills and comfort navigating uncertainty
  • Knowledge of the various industry and government strategies and standards in privacy and cybersecurity
  • Extensive ability to perform concurrent tasks in complex environments under adjusting priorities
  • Ability to communicate and modify approach, language, and style to different audiences
  • Extensive experience in organizing resources, establishing priorities, and leading business initiatives
  • Must have excellent communication skills, writing skills, and the ability to work with team members at all levels
  • Must be a performance-driven team player with a superior attitude

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $150,000\.00 to $200,000\.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a Cyber National Security Advisor, to be a business development lead and subject matter expert supporting a wide range of service providers. This role is primarily an enabler involved in expanding all the cybersecurity services and products strategically positioned across WWT. The Cyber National Security Advisor will bring our customers a unique differentiator – a consulting know-how with real-world solutions in the most complex environments. This includes engaging and leading opportunities in every aspect of customer challenges with a never-ending passion to deliver successful outcomes. This will be accomplished by defining enablement plans with specific goals and objectives to promote the full range of cybersecurity offerings amongst client executive leads. The Cyber National Security Advisor will be customer facing and representing WWT's cybersecurity expertise and be the strategic advisor to some the largest companies that have a substantial, global business footprint.

Reporting to the Cyber Advocacy leader, you will be embedded into the service provider organization. With a primary focus on strategy, business development and enablement, individual will be engaged directly with the WWT sales leads and specialists across global sectors. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in National Security and brings cybersecurity expertise from a consultant and/or technical background. Candidate will also bring excellent communication skills necessary for varied presentation style to senior client leadership such as corporate boards, CISOs, Chief Risk Officers, Chief Information Officers, Chief Executive Officers, and other stakeholders. Diversified background is a plus but also a level of expertise in security domains such as strategy, risk management, identity access, and data protection or others is required.

This is an opportunity to be in a premier role for WWT and raise the bar for cybersecurity by leading a best-of-breed solutions and services to customers in global accounts. The Cyber National Security Advisor will be joining a group of seasoned cybersecurity industry leaders who have built relevant and cost-effective offerings to address customers' current and future cybersecurity challenges. An essential part of the role is understanding and positioning the extant cybersecurity service offerings to include participation in selling campaigns. This involves the creation of plans and effective execution to support major field enablement initiatives. The Cyber National Security Advisor will be measuring and reporting on the status and overall progress to include seeking improvements and subsequent recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Understands the National security landscape and develops strategies and initiatives to maintain a leadership position with all GSP accounts and executive leads.
  • Working with internal teams to help build cyber / AI and Quantum strategy which aligns with current policy for and identifying new opportunities to bolster the current success.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic involvement in all aspects of the Team as well as direct interaction with prospects, customers and partners; fosters teamwork and creates a positive work environment for a geographically distributed account team.
  • Augments WWT leadership and aligns on specific strategic objectives required for success.
  • Collaborate with regional specialists and services team to ensure clarity on efforts related to expanding services.
  • Contributes to communication plans to inform on capabilities, services, and processes to support goals and objectives.
  • Identify performance metrics using financial and other related data to report on of status cybersecurity account performance.
  • Participate or lead customer-facing meetings, workshops, or other events related to cybersecurity lines of business.
  • Possess the ability to work in a client environment and develop a multitude of relationships with excellent communication skills.
  • Have expert level knowledge in one or more of the following cybersecurity areas; National security as it applies to security architecture, cloud security, risk management, compliance, security governance, networks, protocols, threat management, change management, vulnerability management and overall cyber security best practices.
  • Develop enablement material for marketing efforts that includes creation of thought leadership articles, quality presentations, videos and other forms of media.
