Job Description
The ideal candidate will lead the account development and penetration strategy for assigned customers or regions. They should be skilled at building and maintaining relationships with clients and work to provide exceptional customer service to clients.
This is an individual contributor role with growth potential and automotive experience is a requirement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with major accounts to promote brand awareness and profitable business relationships
- Provide ongoing support to high value customers ensuring they receive high quality customer service
- Possess very detailed product knowledge as well as thorough knowledge of customers' business
- Responsible for direct sales process, aiming at meeting and/or exceeding sales targets
- Organize visits to current and potential customers
- Retain long-term customer relationships with established customers
- Inform customers of new products and services as they are introduced
- Recommend products and services that fit well with customers' business needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and experience supporting product development efforts, with the ability to engage credibly with engineering and R\&D teams.
- 3-5\+ years of individual‑contributor experience in sales, key account management, or business development for Automotive Tier 1 suppliers, with direct interaction and support of major OEM customers.
- Clear understanding of sales performance metrics
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong Negotiation skills
- Demonstrated hunter mentality with a proven track record of capturing new business.
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Able to work onsite when not travelling
- Flexible for travel within North America
