The Senior Accountant is a key operational finance role responsible for U.S. accounting operations, group consolidation assistance, SOX control implementation, and supporting global accounting oversight. This succession-ready position offers strong exposure to multinational environments, providing operational backup for both the Group Controller and regional offices, with significant responsibilities spanning financial close, compliance, and audit support.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and close U.S. entity books in accordance with company standards and regulatory timelines.
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support intercompany accounting and eliminations as part of monthly closing and consolidation.
- Assist with preparation of consolidation schedules and facilitate close execution across entities.
- Serve as the primary backup for regional accounting oversight, including reviewing consultant-prepared local books for Asia Pacific entities (Shanghai, Singapore, Taiwan).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5\+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience with public company accounting or external audit.
- Demonstrated knowledge of consolidation processes and multi-entity environments.
- Experience with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) or ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting) frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Deep attention to detail with ability to review and validate other team members’ work.
- Experience supporting international audits and working across multiple time zones and jurisdictions.
- Prior involvement in SOX control design, implementation, and process documentation.
- Familiarity with ERP and consolidation software.
