About The Organization

Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We’re looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.

About The Role

Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking a Senior Instructional Designer who will be instrumental in ensuring that complex technical solutions are translated into actionable knowledge for our government partners. This role is not just about creating slides; it’s about designing the learning architecture that empowers federal agencies to adopt new technologies and improve mission outcomes through data-driven training strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive training needs analysis to identify performance gaps and define learning objectives within complex technical environments
  • Design and develop innovative training curricula that align with organizational goals and government standards
  • Create high-quality multimedia and web-based storyboards, ensuring a balance between instructional integrity and visual engagement
  • Develop end-to-end training materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led guides, and performance support tools
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using industry-standard metrics (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model) to ensure a high return on mission investment
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) in data science and technology to simplify complex concepts for diverse learner populations

Required Experience/Clearance

  • Active Top Secret/SCI FS Poly clearance.
  • Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, or Organizational Development
  • Current CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) or CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) certification
  • 8\+ years of experience in instructional design, specifically supporting federal government or large-scale enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated experience using the ADDIE model or Agile instructional design methodologies
  • Proven ability to develop multimedia and web-based training content from initial storyboard to final deployment

Desired Experience

  • Proficiency with rapid authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise), Adobe Captivate, or Lectora
  • Experience designing training for technical subject matter, such as Data Science, AI/ML, or Cloud Infrastructure (Databricks, AWS, Azure)
  • Familiarity with Section 508 compliance and accessibility standards for e-learning
  • Experience managing content within Learning Management Systems (LMS) and tracking SCORM/xAPI data
  • Strong graphic design skills or experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite
