Role Description

This is a full-time, remote Senior Accountant role responsible for overseeing key accounting functions and supporting financial decision-making. The Senior Accountant will manage general ledger activities, prepare and review journal entries, and ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes. They will reconcile accounts, maintain supporting schedules, and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards. The role includes preparing management reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and analyzing variances to provide insights to leadership. The Senior Accountant will also assist with audits, maintain internal controls, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help improve accounting processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Strong general accounting knowledge, including GAAP, general ledger management, and month-end/year-end close experience.
• Proficiency with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting/ERP systems (such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is preferred.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience; background in retail, e-commerce, or direct sales is a plus.
• Comfort working independently with high levels of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
