Investment Analyst

Our client is a value-oriented L/S investment firm with offices in Greenwich, CT, New York, NY, and Miami, FL. The firm focuses on small and mid-capitalization industrial, energy and materials companies undergoing major change. Their investment strategy is founded on looking for exceptional ideas and building a concentrated portfolio. The firm generates superior results by combining seasoned risk-reward calculus with unique insights gained through detailed and comprehensive fact-finding and rigorous analysis.

They are seeking a competitive, analytical and intellectually curious individual to join their investment team. The Investment Analyst will play a significant role in evaluating investment opportunities and portfolio oversight. This is an in-office position, requiring regular attendance in either their Greenwich or NYC office.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting financial and qualitative analysis on companies and industries;

• Building and maintaining proprietary financial models by identifying and incorporating

relevant data from research;

• Conducting interviews and calls with management, Wall Street research analysts, and

other sources (e.g., competitors, customers, government representatives, etc.);

• Attending conferences, company roadshows and meetings with management

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of investment banking experience within

Industrials, Energy and/or Natural Resources

.

• Strong financial modeling skills;

• Strong mathematical and accounting skills;

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;

• Keen eye for detail
