Job Summary:

A BMS Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, installing, and maintaining

Building Management Systems (BMS)

that control and monitor building services such as HVAC, lighting, energy systems, and security. The goal is to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop BMS control strategies for HVAC and other building systems

Program and configure BMS/automation systems (e.g., PLCs, DDC controllers)

Install, test, and commission BMS systems on-site

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues

Integrate BMS with other systems (fire alarm, access control, energy management)

Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades

Analyze data trends to improve energy efficiency

Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and clients

Required Skills:

Experience with BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, **Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls)

Knowledge of HVAC systems and control logic

Familiarity with communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, KNX)

Programming skills (PLC, SCADA, or DDC systems)

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Ability to read electrical and control schematics

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in

Electronics, Engineering

Preferred certifications:

Certifications in BMS or automation systems

Experience with IoT-based smart building technologies
