Inventory \& Procurement Manager

Are you the type of supply chain professional who sees opportunity where others see shortages, backorders, or excess stock? We're seeking an experienced
Inventory \& Purchasing Manager
to lead inventory planning, procurement strategy, and supplier partnerships for a growing operation focused on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives on balancing inventory investment, operational demands, and vendor performance while building scalable processes that support business growth.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Leadership
- Own inventory management strategies that ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
- Monitor inventory performance metrics, reorder points, safety stock levels, lead times, and forecasting accuracy.
- Lead cycle count programs and inventory audits to maintain data integrity and operational excellence.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities using inventory data and analytics.
Purchasing \& Procurement
- Develop and execute sourcing and purchasing strategies that improve cost, quality, and service levels.
- Manage procurement activities for production materials, maintenance supplies, equipment, and operational needs.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with suppliers to maximize value.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships while evaluating performance and accountability.
Operations \& Continuous Improvement
- Partner closely with production, operations, finance, and leadership teams to align purchasing decisions with business objectives.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and supply planning initiatives.
- Drive process improvements that increase efficiency across inventory control and purchasing functions.
- Enhance utilization of ERP and inventory management systems to improve visibility and reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members while promoting a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience managing both inventory control and purchasing/procurement functions.
- Strong understanding of inventory planning, forecasting, replenishment strategies, and supplier management.
- Proven ability to negotiate favorable supplier agreements and manage vendor relationships.
- Experience working with ERP systems, inventory software, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities with the ability to influence across departments.
