Inventory \& Purchasing Manager

to lead inventory planning, procurement strategy, and supplier partnerships for a growing operation focused on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives on balancing inventory investment, operational demands, and vendor performance while building scalable processes that support business growth.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Leadership

  • Own inventory management strategies that ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
  • Monitor inventory performance metrics, reorder points, safety stock levels, lead times, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Lead cycle count programs and inventory audits to maintain data integrity and operational excellence.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities using inventory data and analytics.

Purchasing \& Procurement

  • Develop and execute sourcing and purchasing strategies that improve cost, quality, and service levels.
  • Manage procurement activities for production materials, maintenance supplies, equipment, and operational needs.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with suppliers to maximize value.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships while evaluating performance and accountability.

Operations \& Continuous Improvement

  • Partner closely with production, operations, finance, and leadership teams to align purchasing decisions with business objectives.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and supply planning initiatives.
  • Drive process improvements that increase efficiency across inventory control and purchasing functions.
  • Enhance utilization of ERP and inventory management systems to improve visibility and reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members while promoting a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience managing both inventory control and purchasing/procurement functions.
  • Strong understanding of inventory planning, forecasting, replenishment strategies, and supplier management.
  • Proven ability to negotiate favorable supplier agreements and manage vendor relationships.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, inventory software, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities with the ability to influence across departments.
