Job Description

Company Overview:

At Ogee, we are committed to creating the ultimate certified organic collection of high-performance, multifunctional beauty. Our renowned NSF certification ensures that we adhere to the most stringent standards in clean beauty: utilizing a minimum percentage of 70% organic ingredients; the highest percentage in personal care. Our makeup-meets-skincare collection offers a multifunctional approach that defies conventional beauty.

We strive to formulate beauty that is good for your skin and good for the planet. Our commitment to sustainability ensures every facet of development is designed with the environment in mind.

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the CMO, the Creative Director will own the visual identity and creative output of Ogee across every touchpoint — from digital content and packaging to retail displays and campaign assets. This is a hands-on creative leadership role for someone with an exceptionally high taste level, a strong point of view, and the operational discipline to run a creative department efficiently.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in luxury or prestige beauty, a portfolio that demonstrates elevated, brand-defining work, and a proven ability to lead creative teams and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners. As Ogee evolves from a fast-growth DTC brand to entering top national prestige beauty retailers, this person will play a defining role in elevating the brand to compete at the highest tier of prestige beauty.

Responsibilities:

  • Creative Direction \& Visual Identity:

Set and uphold Ogee's visual identity across all channels and formats. Ensure every asset — digital, packaging, retail, video, and advertising — reflects the brand's positioning as a leader in luxury clean beauty and meets the aesthetic standard required to compete in prestige retail.

  • Campaign \& Content Production:

Lead end-to-end creative production for all campaigns, product launches, and brand moments. Oversee photography, video, digital, social, email, and retail assets from brief through final delivery — managing both in-house creative talent and external production partners.

  • Packaging \& Retail Design:

Lead the creative direction for packaging design and retail visual merchandising, including in-store displays and fixtures for Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, and other retail partners. Ensure shelf presence reflects the brand's luxury positioning and stands out in a competitive environment.

  • Creative Operations \& Team Leadership:

Build and manage a high-performing creative team. Own the creative intake, briefing, and workflow process to ensure all requests are properly scoped, prioritized, and delivered on time and on brief. Manage freelancers, agencies, and production partners as needed.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with Brand, Integrated Marketing, E-Commerce, and Wholesale teams to ensure creative output is aligned with business priorities, campaign strategies, and channel requirements. Foster a collaborative, communicative working relationship with all departments.

  • Digital Asset Management:

Oversee the organization and maintenance of the brand's digital asset library, ensuring all teams have seamless, self-serve access to approved creative assets.

What We're Looking For:

Experience

  • 8–12 years of creative experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior creative leadership role.
  • Background in luxury, prestige, or clean beauty strongly preferred; CPG or fashion considered.
  • Proven experience leading creative departments and managing cross-functional production pipelines.
  • Portfolio demonstrating elevated visual work across brand, packaging, digital, and retail.
  • Omni-channel retail experience required, with a strong understanding of the creative demands of national prestige retailers such as Sephora, Ulta, and Nordstrom — including packaging, in-store displays, and retailer-specific asset requirements.

Skills \& Expertise

  • Exceptionally high aesthetic taste level with a strong, confident creative point of view.
  • Deep expertise across the full creative production spectrum: photography, video, design, packaging, and retail visual merchandising.
  • Strong understanding of how creative drives brand equity and commercial performance.
  • Proficiency in creative project management tools (ClickUp, Monday, Asana, or similar) and digital asset management systems.

Leadership \& Culture Fit

  • Highly collaborative — someone who builds strong relationships across departments and brings teams together rather than creating silos.
  • Operationally disciplined — able to balance creative excellence with the process rigor needed to run a productive, scalable department.
  • Hands-on and solutions-oriented, with the ability to both lead strategically and execute when needed.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is energized by building something exceptional.

If you are passionate about clean beauty, organic skincare, and driving creative excellence in the cosmetics industry, and if you possess the qualifications and experience outlined above, we would love to hear from you. Join us at Ogee to become a key contributor to our mission of providing high-performance products that prioritize both beauty and integrity.
