About You

Your contribution

The Benefits \& Retirement Analyst supports the administration, compliance, and ongoing operations of retirement, health \& welfare, and leave programs. This role assists with 401(k) and pension plan administration, benefits and leave-related compliance activities, associate inquiries, and HRIS/HCM system support. The Analyst also provides support for compensation review activities. This position works under the direction of the Manager of Benefits. It is located in Edison, NJ.

What you will do

Retirement \& Health and Welfare Administration

  • Support day-to-day administration of 401(k) and defined benefit pension plans
  • Assist with health and welfare benefit administration including eligibility and enrollments
  • Respond to associate inquiries and research participant records
  • Coordinate with vendors under direction of management
  • Assist with benefit orientations and communications

Leave Administration Support

  • Support administration of leave programs including FMLA, state and local leave, disability, and company-sponsored leave policies
  • Assist with leave eligibility tracking, documentation, and coordination with payroll and leave vendors
  • Respond to associate leave inquiries and escalate complex cases as needed
  • Support leave compliance, reporting, and recordkeeping activities
  • Assist with HRIS configuration and maintenance related to leave tracking

Compliance \& Audit Support

  • Assist with compliance testing, audits, and data preparation
  • Support documentation for Form 5500 and regulatory filings
  • Maintain plan and policy documentation
  • Escalate potential compliance concerns to management

Compensation Support

  • Support annual compensation review cycles
  • Assist with job descriptions, job evaluations, and FLSA reviews
  • Support survey participation and compensation documentation

HRIS / HCM System Support

  • Provide functional support for benefits, retirement, compensation, and leave configuration in HRIS
  • Assist with system testing, audits, and data validation
  • Document processes and system changes

What we’re looking for

  • 2–4 years of experience in benefits, leave, retirement, or HRIS-adjacent roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Working knowledge of benefits and leave regulations including ERISA and FMLA
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Excellence communication, customer service, and presentation skills with the ability to deal tactfully and professionally
  • Strong ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Professional certification a plus

How you will work

  • Prolonged periods of time sitting in front of a computer
  • Ability to comply with company hybrid work policy of working four days onsite with the option of working the fifth workday at home

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000\. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.
