Job Description

SALES ENGINEER II

Our client is an industry-leading wireless technology manufacturer specializing in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules, as well as embedded connectivity products that improve IoT device communication. Their solutions are widely used across the industrial, medical, and commercial sectors. They are now seeking a Sales Engineer II to support inbound demand and drive design wins across the Southeast US region.

Responsibilities of a Sales Engineer:

  • Provide technical consultation to customers during pre- and post-sales activities via phone, email, and occasional local visits.
  • Manage and qualify inbound leads from website chat, form fills, and distributor channels.
  • Own opportunities from initial lead through design, development, and transition to full-scale production.
  • Work closely with electronic distributors and their sales and FAE teams to develop new customer opportunities.
  • Apply embedded and wireless engineering knowledge to recommend solutions that address customer requirements and pain points.
  • Support field sales through lead follow-up, market research, and identification of new prospects.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to improve technical and web-based sales materials.
  • Analyze historical sales data to identify follow-up and revenue growth opportunities.
  • Generate outbound sales leads through proactive customer outreach.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of leads and opportunities in Salesforce across modules, SOMs, antennas, and services.

Requirements for a Sales Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
  • 2 - 3 years minimum experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or a customer-facing engineering role.
  • Proven experience selling semiconductor or high-performance hardware solutions into enterprise, OEM, or data centre customers
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to navigate datasheets
  • Excellent organizational and CRM skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools preferred.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US required.
  • The role is remote and open to candidates based in TX, OK, LA, AR, AL, GA, FL, NC, and SC.
