About the Role

Data Analyst

• Location:

Richmond, VA

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams and business stakeholders to understand data content, business requirements, and use cases
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex queries in Snowflake for data extraction and analysis
• Develop automated data processes and analytical workflows using Python
• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions, dashboards, and metrics
• Design and build reporting frameworks to provide actionable insights and support strategic decisions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing data pipelines and data solutions
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
• Ensure adherence to data quality standards including metadata management, data lineage, and business definitions
• Build and maintain production-grade data pipelines and monitoring frameworks for data quality and reliability
• Continuously explore and adopt new technologies to improve data capabilities and efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning, data manipulation)
• Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation
• Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses
• Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
• Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, etc.)
• Exposure to data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between [$60,000 - 70,000 annually.  Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
