Responsibilities

  • Lead patient care coordination and supervision for nursing team on site.
  • Provide direct nursing care and monitor patient outcomes daily.
  • Ensure compliance with California nursing regulations and facility policies.
  • Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and adjust as needed.
  • Drive performance metrics by monitoring KPIs and improving care quality.
  • Coordinate patient care across departments to optimize throughput and outcomes.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in audits.
  • Mentor and train junior nurses and staff to ensure best practices.
  • Manage staffing schedules, ensure adequate coverage, and handle surge needs.
  • Communicate care plans, progress, and risks to patients, families, and leadership.
  • Utilize pipeline-based forecasting to anticipate staffing and resource needs.
  • Promote a growth mindset by pursuing ongoing professional development and certifications.

Experience/Qualifications

  • California RN license in good standing and current CPR certification.
  • Lead and supervise nursing team; direct patient care and daily outcome monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with California Board of Nursing regulations and facility policies.
  • Monitor KPIs, quality metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage staffing schedules, coverage planning, and surge staffing needs.
  • Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs and data.
  • Coordinate cross-department care to optimize throughput and patient outcomes.
  • Lead audits, participate in quality improvement projects, and implement best practices.
  • Forecast staffing and resource needs using pipeline-based modeling; plan proactively.
  • Communicate care plans and progress to patients, families, and leadership with clarity.
