BLD Marketing, a fast-growing marketing agency with a national portfolio of clients, seeks qualified candidates for the position of PR/content marketing specialist to join our award-winning team. Reporting to the director of PR and content, the PR/content marketing specialist will be dedicated to the very highest standards for quality of work and client service. The successful candidate will join a cohesive, results-focused team that offers the full array of PR and content marketing services, empowering clients to find their voice and tell their story.
The successful candidate:
- Has at least two to three years of experience in public relations and communications in an agency, corporate, or nonprofit setting.
- Has earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related profession.
- Possesses an understanding of the practice of modern public relations and content marketing, how all the media channels (earned, owned, and paid) intersect, and how they can be integrated to achieve a client’s PR and content marketing objectives.
- Can identify a communications opportunity or challenge and can contribute to developing and executing a strategy and the right tactics to achieve success.
- Has demonstrated writing skills that can be applied to content marketing, media relations, organizational communications, and other executions in an agency environment.
- Possesses project management skills and can successfully handle multiple initiatives and deadlines simultaneously.
The PR/content marketing specialist will be responsible for:
- Conducting consistent, ongoing story-mining exercises to find, develop, cultivate, and then tell compelling stories on behalf of clients.
- Developing a variety of content assets for a client from conception to finalization that includes (but is not limited to) news releases, byline articles, project profiles, white papers, case studies, email marketing campaigns, and other digital content as assigned.
- Conducting the full cycle of media relations on behalf of clients to secure earned media placements (media targeting, media contact cultivation, editorial calendar research, proactive media pitching, media opportunity management, development of talking points, media interview management, metrics calculation).
- Can manage and conduct interviews with industry professionals and client subject matter experts to gather information for content development.
- Regular client status call updates with the larger agency team.
- Assisting in the development of regular reporting of results for clients.
