Mechanical Design Engineer

As Mechanical / Mechatronics Design Engineer, you will take ownership of how different subsystems are physically integrated into a complete tool.

Your responsibilities include:

• Owning mechanical design across subsystems, including precision assemblies, motion systems, and opto-mechanical interfaces
• Ensuring that subsystems fit, connect, and function together as one integrated system
• Designing and managing cabling and routing throughout the system
• Collaborating with internal engineers and external suppliers on subsystem interfaces
• Reviewing designs and helping to bring structure and consistency to the engineering workflow
• Supporting the integration of interface electronics into the overall system

Your profile

• You have a background in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field, with a few years of experience in a technical development environment
• You are comfortable working with CAD tools and translating concepts into practical designs
• You have experience working on systems where multiple components come together into a functioning whole
• You enjoy working in a hands-on environment where you are close to the hardware and actively involved in building and improving setups
• You take ownership of your work and are able to bring structure and clarity in a dynamic engineering environment
• You are used to collaborating with different stakeholders, both internally and externally
• You communicate clearly in English

Nice to have

• Affinity with systems that combine mechanics with other domains such as optics, electronics, or software
• Experience in industries where precision and reliability are important (e.g. high-tech equipment, advanced manufacturing, or R\&D environments)
• Familiarity with motion, positioning, or dynamic systems
• Basic scripting or programming experience to support testing or system interaction
