Event Production Technician / Box Truck Driver (Seasonal)

Position Summary
UpLight Technologies is looking for experienced Event Production Technicians to join our touring team for a busy season of live events. This position is ideal for someone with a background in live event production who is comfortable working with professional audio, lighting, and LED video systems while also serving as a box truck driver for transporting equipment between event locations.
Driving is a core responsibility of this role. Candidates must be comfortable operating a 26-foot box truck and traveling extensively throughout the United States.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate a 26' box truck to and from event locations nationwide.
- Load, unload, secure, and transport production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Lead and supervise local labor crews during load-ins and load-outs.
- Set up, operate, and strike professional audio, lighting, and LED video wall systems.
- Maintain high technical and safety standards throughout each event.
- Troubleshoot equipment and resolve technical issues during setup and show operation.
- Coordinate with production managers, venue staff, and clients to ensure successful event execution.
- Keep equipment organized, inventoried, and properly packed after each event.
- Work long days when required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Represent UpLight Technologies professionally while on the road and on-site.
Qualifications
- 2\+ years of experience in live event production (touring experience preferred).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving a 26' box truck or similar commercial vehicle.
- Comfortable traveling for extended periods throughout the season.
- Strong knowledge of professional audio, lighting, and LED video wall systems.
- Experience leading crews or supervising local labor.
- Ability to read stage plots and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to repeatedly lift and move 50\+ pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift experience.
- OSHA, rigging, boom lift, or scissor lift certifications.
- Experience with Avolites lighting consoles.
- Experience with ProPresenter.
- Experience with ROE, INFiLED, or similar LED video wall systems.
- CDL is a plus but not required.
