We are working with a global leader in power technology to support the growth of their engineering team in Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced

Electrical Engineer

to play a key role in the development of next generation power distribution and control systems supporting mission-critical applications.

This position sits within a highly collaborative product development environment, working across hardware, firmware, and systems engineering to deliver innovative, high-reliability solutions.

The Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will take ownership of electrical design from concept through to validation, working on advanced control and power systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and development of

analogue and digital circuits

, with a strong focus on

power electronics

  • PCB schematic capture, layout, and system-level integration
  • Development of control systems for power distribution and switching equipment
  • Validation, testing, and debugging using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power analysers, etc.)
  • Ensure designs meet

EMI/EMC standards

and regulatory requirements

  • Optimise designs for performance, cost, manufacturability, and reliability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, test, and manufacturing teams

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working in a lab environment and thrives in a fast-paced product development setting.

Required experience:

  • 5–10 years’ experience in electrical/electronic engineering
  • Strong background in

power electronics

(e.g., switching, converters, power control systems)

  • Experience with

analogue and digital circuit design

  • Proven PCB design experience (schematic, layout, testing)
  • Solid understanding of

EMI/EMC principles and compliance

  • Experience with lab testing and debugging tools
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Desirable:

  • Experience with IGBT/SCR or high-power systems
  • Exposure to 3-phase power systems or industrial equipment
  • Familiarity with Mentor Graphics or similar tools
