Role purpose
- Drive end-to-end management of inbound shipments, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant importation of goods into the country. The role ensures smooth coordination with suppliers, , customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to support uninterrupted supplies.
- Manage shipment priorities, lead times, and exceptions to minimize supply disruptions.
- Ensure effective liaison with 4PL partner to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure Full compliance of clearance activities under the framework of Pakistan Custom laws and Syngenta global trade guidelines.
- Proactively manage customs audits, inspections, and post-clearance reviews.
- Identify and mitigate import-related risks such as delays, regulatory changes, port congestion, and supply interruptions.
- Develop and execute transportation and warehousing strategies to meet service, cost, and efficiency goals.
- Manage Supply budget with a clear focus on critical cost heads to run operations within approved budget.
- Establish transportation contracts with protentional LSP (Logistics service provider) with a strong focused on competitive rates and high service levels and HSE criteria.
- Identifying \& onboarding new LSP in liason with procurement to reduce freight cost through effective negotiations.
- Develop and monitor service levels KPIs within team and LSP ensuring OTIF (On time-In full) and efficient vehicle load.
- Creating strong cross functional synergies between different functions Sales, plant, finance warehouses, tollers to support the plan execution.
- Relationship building and strong planning with LSPs to ensure smooth delivery of the forecasted volumes.
- Manage receipting, verification and reconciliation of invoices for timely payments to vendors.
- Manage PK Warehouses operation under HSE, legal and complaince framework.
- Manage daily and monthly dispatch plans of FG (finished goods) from plant/ tollers to warehouses.
- Monitoring \& leading complete Order to Cash cycle operations of supply spread across Pakistan.
- Leading the operations of product deliveries to customer through working in close coordination with logistics \& ensuring optimum wagon load.
- Closely monitoring slow movers and non-mover products for efficient \& timely liquidation
- Driving process-simplification initiatives in core activities of inventory management, order management and operational matters.
- Inventory Management of country stocks \& prior intimation on near expiry stocks, to respective stake holders, as well as incineration of expired stocks
- Leading and ensuring focus toward development of team spread across Pakistan.
Qualifications
- 5\+ years in logistics function.
- Pakistan Customs Laws on HS classification.
