Carpenter / Assistant Project Manager

Base salary range:

$60,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Total compensation package:

employer-paid health insurance premium plus profit sharing; estimated annual value may bring total compensation up to approx. $98,000,000, depending on coverage, performance and company results.

Position Overview

The Carpenter / Assistant Project Manager supports the management of 3–4 concurrent residential remodeling projects, helping ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role blends hands-on carpentry, field coordination, subcontractor support, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

·

Assist with all phases of residential remodeling projects from pre-construction through final completion.

·

Coordinate with clients, architects, designers, and internal team members to support alignment on scope, schedule, and expectations.

·

Schedule, supervise, and hold subcontractors accountable for quality, safety, and productivity.

·

Apply carpentry and construction expertise to solve field challenges and keep projects moving.

·

Help develop and manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, and change orders.

·

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, enforce quality standards, and support safety compliance.

·

Identify risks and proactively resolve issues to minimize delays or cost overruns.

·

Deliver excellent client experience through clear communication and responsiveness.

·

Maintain organized job sites and accurate project documentation.

·

Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and project outcomes.

Qualifications

·

3\+ years of residential construction experience, with working carpentry skills/experience.

·

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

·

Working knowledge of residential building codes, materials, and construction methods.

·

Ability to support subcontractor management, schedules, and project budgets.

·

Strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·

Excellent customer service and professional demeanor.

·

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.

·

Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and attention to detail.

·

Valid driver’s license.

·

Ability to communicate effectively in English, spoken and written.

·

Ability to meet the physical demands of a construction job site, including walking, climbing, and lifting.

·

Strong professional references.

Work Environment
