JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with the Board of Directors of Jordan Health in search of its next President \& CEO. Founded in 1904, Jordan Health is one of the nation's oldest Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and a recognized leader in providing comprehensive, community-based healthcare services throughout the Greater Rochester region. The organization delivers primary care, dental, behavioral health, women’s health, pediatrics, pharmacy, urgent care, and specialty services to nearly 30,000 patients annually.
The President \& CEO serves as the strategic and operational leader of Jordan Health, responsible for advancing the organization’s mission while ensuring clinical excellence, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, workforce engagement, and organizational effectiveness. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO provides vision, leadership, and accountability for all aspects of organizational performance.
Jordan Health seeks a transformational executive to lead the organization through a critical period of financial stabilization, operational improvement, and strategic growth. The successful candidate will bring executive leadership experience within an FQHC, community health center, safety-net healthcare organization, or similarly complex healthcare environment. This leader will possess expertise in healthcare reimbursement, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, workforce development, and community-centered care.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of improving financial performance, strengthening revenue cycle operations, building high-performing teams, and leading organizations through significant change while fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and service excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership \& Governance
- Partner with the Board of Directors to establish organizational strategy, priorities, and long-term sustainability plans.
- Lead organizational transformation efforts that strengthen financial performance, operational effectiveness, workforce engagement, and patient outcomes.
- Assess emerging risks, opportunities, and community needs to guide strategic decision-making and service expansion.
- Provide the Board with timely and transparent information regarding organizational performance, financial results, compliance, quality outcomes, and strategic initiatives.
- Represent Jordan Health with healthcare partners, government agencies, advocacy organizations, funders, and community stakeholders.
Financial Stewardship \& Sustainability
- Provide leadership and oversight for budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
- Lead financial stabilization initiatives and ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
- Oversee Medicaid, Medicare, managed care reimbursement, revenue cycle performance, grant funding, payer strategy, and value-based care initiatives.
- Monitor key financial indicators and implement strategies that improve financial performance while maintaining mission alignment.
- Ensure strong financial controls, audit readiness, and compliance with grant and funding requirements.
Operational Excellence \& Compliance
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, accessible, patient-centered services that meet community needs and FQHC requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement through quality initiatives, operational efficiencies, and performance management systems.
- Oversee organizational infrastructure, facilities, technology, and resources necessary to support current operations and future growth.
- Ensure compliance with HRSA requirements, FQHC regulations, federal and state laws, accreditation standards, and reporting requirements.
- Oversee enterprise risk management activities that promote organizational integrity, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
Leadership \& Workforce Development
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing executive leadership team aligned around accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
- Foster a culture of trust, transparency, inclusion, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Lead workforce recruitment, retention, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
- Recruit and retain high-quality providers, clinical staff, and operational leaders while developing future organizational leaders.
Community Leadership
- Serve as a visible and trusted leader within the Rochester community and broader healthcare ecosystem.
- Engage patients, employees, community partners, funders, and elected officials in advancing organizational priorities and health equity.
- Ensure community and patient voices are incorporated into organizational planning and decision-making.
- Support fundraising, grant development, marketing, communications, and community outreach efforts that strengthen organizational sustainability and reputation.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree strongly preferred in Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Health Policy, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive executive leadership experience, including substantial leadership responsibility within an FQHC, community health center, safety-net healthcare organization, or similarly regulated healthcare environment. Direct FQHC experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading organizational transformation, financial stabilization, operational improvement, workforce development, revenue cycle enhancement, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, managed care reimbursement, value-based care models, healthcare finance, grant management, and healthcare regulatory compliance.
- Experience with HRSA requirements, FQHC regulations, federal grant administration, audits, quality improvement programs, risk management, and reporting requirements preferred.
- Proven success building high-performing teams and leading organizations through significant change.
