The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and compassionate Court of Protection Paralegal to join a highly regarded Legal 500-ranked law firm in Manchester. Working within a specialist Court of Protection team, you will support vulnerable clients and their families in matters relating to property and financial affairs, helping to make a meaningful difference to their lives.

This role offers excellent exposure to high-quality work, close client contact, and the opportunity to develop your expertise within a nationally recognised department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting solicitors and fee earners with a broad range of Court of Protection matters.
• Managing day-to-day administration of deputyship and attorneyship files.
• Preparing Court of Protection applications, annual reports, and supporting documentation.
• Liaising with clients, families, care providers, local authorities, case managers, and financial institutions.
• Supporting the management of clients' property and financial affairs.
• Drafting correspondence, witness statements, and other legal documents.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assisting with file management, billing, and general case progression.

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Previous experience working within a Court of Protection, Private Client, Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, or related legal environment.
• A genuine interest in Court of Protection and vulnerable client work.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
• A proactive and empathetic approach to client care.
• Strong IT skills and experience using case management systems.
