Job Description

RIVET EVENTS

Marketing \& Ads Specialist (Contractor)

Roughly 8-10 hours per week. Remote. $1,000/month retainer plus flat performance bonuses when CAC and booking goals are hit.

About the role

We're a wedding photo and video studio doing 200-300 weddings a year, which means a steady stream of finished films and photo galleries landing in your queue every week. The posting engine already runs itself, generating and scheduling content across Instagram, Facebook,

TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest. What we're missing is someone to make our ads work harder and turn all that finished content into short-form that actually gets shared. No shooting. No starting from scratch. The hard part is already built. Your job is to make it convert.

What you'll do

  • Quick morning check of Metricool, confirm today's content looks right, then post it live to the feed manually. Native, manual posting consistently beats scheduler-pushed posts for reach, so this is how we protect it. Stay on for the first hour after each post to engage: reply to comments, like back, repost to stories.
  • Cut 3-5 short-form pieces per week from our existing finished films and photo galleries.

Reels for Instagram, plus TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest. You're picking the best moments, captioning, and prepping each one for scheduling and manual posting to the feed.

  • Manage our paid ads: 3 active ads at a time, swapped weekly to improve performance.
  • Send a short weekly update on what's working and what you're changing.

What we need

  • You've personally run Meta Ads with real budget and can show how you've moved cost-

per-lead.

  • You have good taste in short-form editing and can show pieces you've cut that performed.
  • You think in conversion metrics first, but you know impressions and engagement still matter: a strong brand makes every conversion easier and cheaper.
  • You're self-directed. We won't be managing your day-to-day.

Compensation and KPIs

  • $1,000/month retainer.
  • North-star KPI: ROAS. Average booking value is $3,500\.
  • Target: 7:1 ROAS / $500 CAC per booked wedding.
  • Stretch: 10:1 ROAS / $350 CAC per booked wedding.

  • Quarterly bonus: $500 for hitting target, $1,000 for hitting stretch. Stretch replaces target,

not stacked.

  • Annual bonus: $2,500 for hitting the year-end booked-wedding volume target.
  • Year-end volume target: 50 paid-attributable booked weddings in your trailing 12 months.

We're at roughly 38/year today, so this is about 30% growth.

How we measure it (so you always know where you stand)

  • One source of truth. Booked weddings come from our sales pipeline, paid channels only.

Ad spend comes straight from the ad platforms (Meta, Pinterest, Google, TikTok). Both

feed a shared dashboard you can check any time, so you never take our word for your

numbers.

  • Measured on real numbers. ROAS and CAC are computed each calendar quarter from

actual booking values and actual ad spend, never assumptions.

  • Attribution favors you. Any paid touch in the 90 days before a booking counts toward

your KPIs, whether it was the first touch or an assist. When attribution is ambiguous, the

booking goes to you.

  • Locked monthly. We review and sign off on each month's numbers together. Once a

month is signed, it's final: no clawbacks, no relitigating. Quarterly bonuses pay at quarter

close, the annual bonus within 30 days of year-end. Your first 60 days are setup and ramp,

so they don't count against your bonus math.

What a typical week looks like

Roughly 8-10 hours total, spread across the week. You set the schedule that works for you.

  • Monday (\~1\.5-2 hrs): Morning post and engagement. Review last week's auto-generated performance report. Plan the week's content slate. Send a short update on what's working and what you're changing.
  • Tuesday (\~2-2\.5 hrs): Morning post and engagement. Production block: cut 1-2 short-form pieces from finished films and galleries.
  • Wednesday (\~2 hrs): Morning post and engagement. Ad management block: review performance, swap out underperforming ads, launch new creative.
  • Thursday (\~1\.5-2 hrs): Morning post and engagement. Production block: cut 1-2 more short-form pieces.
  • Friday (\~1 hr): Morning post and engagement. Quick end-of-week ad performance review.
