Cost Accountant

What You'll Do

As a Cost Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing and analyzing the company's product and process costs (COGS). You'll support strategic decision-making by delivering accurate financial insights and working closely with the operations team. Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze operational costs and provide key insights
  • Maintain and update standard costs for inventory and assembled goods
  • Report COGS results with expected vs. actuals to operations
  • Manage variance accounts and ensure internal controls compliance
  • Create and validate BOMs and new item entries
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and cross-functional projects
  • Support finance and accounting team members when needed

What You Bring

We're looking for someone with strong analytical acumen, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit. You should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3\+ years of cost accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing
  • Solid grasp of GAAP and cost accounting principles
  • Proficiency with ERP/costing systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or Dynamics)
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure setting
